A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING INSTALLATION OF
NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo, pursuant to Election C de Section
10229, appointed by Resolution 4149, adopted January 26, 2000, to the office of City Council, City
Clerk and City Treasurer the following individuals:
NAME OFFICE TERM
Mike Gordon Member of the City Council 2000 -2004
Sandra Jacobs Member of the City Council 2000 -2004
Nancy Wernick Member of the City Council 2000 -2004
Cindy Mortesen City Clerk 2000 -2004
Ralph Lanphere City Treasurer 2000 -2004
and;
WHEREAS, Election Code Section 10229 provides that the persons app anted shall
qualify and that the official will serve exactly as if elected at a municipal ele ion for the
respective office, and;
WHEREAS, Election Code Section 10262 requires that the City Council meet on the
second Tuesday after the election to canvass the returns and install the newly elected officers.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE`.
SECTION 1. The below listed individuals are hereby installed as follows:

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution;
shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of the City; and shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of proceedings of the City Council of the City, in
the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of April 2000.
