A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO A REQUEST OF THE EL
SEGUNDO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO CONSOLIDATE THE VOTING
ON A BALLOT MEASURE WITH THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON APRIL 14, 1992, PURSUANT
TO SECTION 23300 OF THE ELECTIONS CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo has called
a municipal election in the City of El Segundo to be held on April
14, 1992, for the election of certain officers pursuant to the
provisions of the laws of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the E1 Segundo Unified School District have requested
the City Council of the City of El Segundo to consent to the
consolidation of a vote on a Ballot Measure pursuant to the
provisions of Section 23300 of the California Elections Code; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that vote on a ballot measure be
consolidated with the municipal election to be held on the same
date and that within the City of E1 Segundo precincts, polling
places and election officers for the two elections be the same, and
that the City Clerk canvass the returns of the municipal election
and the E1 Segundo Unified School District election, and those
elections be held in all respects as if there were only one
election.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, does find, determine, and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of
Section 23300 of the Elections Code, the City Council of the City
of E1 Segundo does consent and agree to the consolidation of the E1
Segundo Unified School District election with the municipal
election on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1992, for the purpose
of voting on a Ballot Measure.
SECTION 2. The election shall be held in all respects
as if there were only one election, and only one form of ballot
shall be used.
SECTION 3. The E1 Segundo Unified School District
recognize that additional costs will be incurred by the City
because of this consolidation and have agreed to reimburse the City
for any additional direct costs incurred.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of E1 Segundo
is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the
Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in
the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
proceedings of the City Council of said meeting at�which the same
is passed and adopted.

HEREBY CERTIFY that the whole number of members of the City Council of
the said City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being RESOLUTION NO.
3744 was duly passed and adopted by the said City Council, approved and
signed by the Mayor or said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said City,
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 7th day of
January, 1992, and the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
AYES: Mayor Jacobson, Councilmembers Cruikshank,
West and Wise.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor ProTem Dannen
