CC RESOLUTION 3494: ( 0 RESOLUTION No, 3494 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING MOTOR OFFICERS OF THE EL SEGUNDO POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN AN IN-HOUSE TRAINING PROGRAM WITH THE EL CAMINO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT. WHEREAS, an in-service training site for rotor officers has been selected at 1050 South Prairie Avenue, in the City of Inglewood; and WHEREAS, training at the site will provide a skills 140 refresher course for certified motor officers from several police departments in South WHEREAS, said training days each quarter, and WHEREAS, El Camino Com providing course credit and Bay; and will be provided for one or two munity College District will be instructional SEIrViCeS for the course program; and WHEREAS, in order to participate in said training sessions the City of Ell Segundo must agree to mutually indemnify and hold harmless each other participating City and indemnify and hold harmless the 171 Camino Community 1-10 College District from personal injUr)y or property damage jilat)ility imposed for any injury occurring by reason of any acts or omissions on the part of the City of El Segundo or any of its employees under or in connection with activities which are performed in relation to the training program; and WHEREAS, in order to participate each City must further agree to bear the expense of its own worker's compensation claims and to waive any claim for Subrogation against any other participating City or the El Camino Community College District which may arise where injuries result from activities connected with the program; -1- NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY 1-i-sTJNCT- OF THE CITY 07 vr �-�u - 4 z L. SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Participation in the training program is valuable and necessary to the safe and effective functioning of City's motor officers. SECTION 2. City of El Segundo agrees to hold harmless and indemnify each other City as provided above. SECTION ID �.
