CC RESOLUTION 3296RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3296 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF PENN STREET AND ALL OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 65 WITHIN SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, has determined to vacate that portion of Penn Street and all of the alley in Block 65 hereinafter described in Section 1 of this resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, pursuant to the provisions of Section 8320 et seq., Chapter 3 of the "Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, to order the vacation of a certain portion of Penn Street and all of the alley in Block 65, within said City, which are more particularly described as follows: All that portion of Penn Street as shown on Map of Sheet 7 El Segundo recorded in Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali- fornia, bounded on the East by the westerly line of Lot 1, Block 65, and bounded on the Northwest by the southeasterly line of Lot D, and bounded on the South by the projected northerly line of Holly Avenue (50.00 feet wide) and all of the alley in Block 65 bounded on the South by the projected northerly line of said Holly Avenue and on the Northwest by the said southeasterly line of Lot D all as shown on said Map of Sheet 7. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said portion of Penn Street reference is hereby made to AND ALL OF THE ALLEY IN BLO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. inspection in the office of Segundo, California, in the and all of the alley in Block 65, map, entitled "PORTION OF PENN STREET _K 65 PROPOSED TO BE VACATED BY 3296 It, on file and open to public the City Clerk of the City of E1 City Hall of said City. 1-131�r' U I• n U SECTION 2. That the hour of 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 19th , 1985, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350 Main Street, in said city, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said public street and alley may appear before said City Council and be heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 3. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of E1 Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF STREET VACATION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON," to be posted as required by the said "Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law," being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the City Council of said city hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act. SECTION 4. The City Clerk is directed within ten days after the adoption of this resolution to give notice to every public body or public utility that has requested notice of pro- ceedings to vacate the aforementioned street and alley as shown upon the list of requests maintained in the City Clerk's office pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Section 8346(b). SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.
