Computation: The ranges are calculated so that
every step
and every
f'<ve range
increase
equals
exactly 5 %. Future
adjustments are to
be computed
from the number
in the
box at Range 40 -E.
When the
new 40 -E is computed,
all other ranges
and steps are
to be calculated
by
consecutively
multiplying
or
dividing:
1) by
1.05 for amounts separated from 40
-E in 5% increments;
and
2) by
1.0098057977
for
amounts separated
from 40 -E
in 1% increments. A 12
-digit calculator
must
be used;
no rounding
between
calculations.
Deferred pay is computed by multiplying total pay by the agreed upon percent (currently 6 %) and rounding
to nearest dollar. Regular pay is the difference of total and deferred pay.
