CC RESOLUTION 3249• �. J RESOLUTION NO. 3249 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS IN THE PUBLIC LIBRARY. WHEREAS, there is presented to the City Council the fol- lowing letter: ,,February 9, 1984 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council City of El Segundo E1 Segundo, California 90245 In accordance with the provisions of Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California, I intend to destroy the following records: 1. Fine transmittal forms 7/80 -7/81. 2. Sale of discard receipts 7/80 -7/81. 3. Copy machine receipts 7/80-7/81 4. Non - resident fee receipts 7/80 - 7/81.. 5. Lost book (partial) receipts 7/75 -7/77. 6. Lost book (paid receipts) 7/75 -7/77. 7. Library Accession sheets 1/79 - 11/81. (These records are no longer maintained). 8. Cash register tapes 7/80 -7/81. 9. Expired registration cards prior to 1/79. 10. Invoices prior to 2/82. 11. 4th carbon copies of book order forms no longer retained prior to 7/83. 12. Team Management minutes prior to 7/81. 13. Purchase Orders 1/80 - 12/81. 14. Duplicate personnel records of former employees (originals are retained permanently by Personnel Office). Kirb City Librarian In accordance with the provisions of Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California, the City Attorney hereby gives his written consent to the destruction of the foregoin re or�iw''c Leland C. Dolley City Attorney I'; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the records herein- above referred to are of no further value to the City of E1 Segundo, and that they occupy badly needed storage space; and 1.417E 1 14.17 WHEREAS, the City Attorney has, in accordance with the provisions of Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California, consented to the destruction of said records and documents; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Librarian is hereby authorized and granted authority to dispose of the hereinabove described and set forth records by causing the same to be destroyed in a lawful manner. SECTION 2. Upon destruction of the foregoing records, the City Librarian shall make a certificate of complete destruction of said records and file the original of the same in the office of the City Clerk and file a copy of said certificate together with a certified copy of this resolution in his /her office. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter, the same shall be in full force and effect.
