RESOLUTION NO. 3237
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO
ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF ROSECRANS AVENUE
AT AVIATION BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY AS A
PART OF THE SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on October 25,
1983, duly adopt a Resolution declaring the portion of Rosecrans
Avenue from 600 feet west of to 1,000 feet east of Aviation
Boulevard within the city of El Segundo, as a part of the System
of Highways of the County of Los Angeles, all as provided in
Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said Resolution
requested the City Council of the City of El Segundo to give
its consent to allow the County to modify traffic signals,
construct improvements and perform appurtenant work on said
street in the city of E1 Segundo; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15101, Class 1 (c) of the
State Guidelines, the Secretary of Resources designated this
type of project as categorically exempt;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Consent to Inclusion in County Hi
System. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo does hereby
consent to the establishment of the portion of Rosecrans Avenue
from 600 feet west of to 1,000 feet east of Aviation Boulevard,
within the city of El Segundo, as a part of the System of
Highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in Sections
1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California. Said consent is for the purpose of modi-
fying traffic signals, constructing improvements and performing
appurtenant work as may be necessary by the County of Los Angeles.

SECTION 2. Finding of Categorical Exemption. The City
Council of the City of E1 Segundo does hereby find that the pro-
ject is categorically exempt from the requirement for an Environ-
mental Impact Report pursuant to Class 1 (c) of the State of
California's Guidelines for Implementation of the California
Environmental Quality Act of 1970.
SECTION 3. Finding of a Minor Nature. The City council
of the City of El Segundo does hereby find that pursuant to
Government Code, Section 65402 (b), the aforesaid improvement is
for street improvements of a minor nature and that, therefore,
the provisions of said Section requiring submission to and report
upon said project by the City Planning Commission do not apply.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book
of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings
of the City Council of said city, in the minutes of the meeting
at which the same is passed and adopted.
