IA2 (MANAGEMENT— CONFIDENTIAL SERIES) OF TITLE 1A OF THE EL, SEGUNDO ADMINIST RAT !Vt? CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORIII.A, DOES RESOLVE AS 'FOLLOWS: SECTION I. on and after. October 2, 1982, Sections IA2.010Y • IA2.040, IA2. 100, 1A2.'105, 1A.2.115 and IA2. 140 of Charter M of Title lA of the "El Segundo Administrative Code," adopted by Fase u- tioa 2620, as amended, are amended to read as follows. SECTION 1A2.100 EXECUTIVE LEAVE. On and after January 1, 1983, Management-Confidential employees shall be'granted not less than threw and not more than five days executive leave with pay per calendar year which may be used for personal business, attendance at educational courses, or for additional vacation. All Management - Confidential em- ployees receive a minimum of three days per year. In addition, those employees in positions which require more than 40 hours' service (5 hours for Fire suppression shifts) annually at times other than their normal duty hours shall be granted up to two additional executive leave days with pay if not otherwise directly compensated. The City Manager shall determine the number of authorized executive leave days (3, 4 or 5) for employees directly supervised by the City Manager, and the department heads shall make the determination for all other eligible employees in their respective departments. Executive leave may not be accrued. Effective with the payroll deduction made for coverage for the month of December, 1982, upon approval of the City Manager, Management - Confidential employees shall be eligible to participate in a flexible benefit package. A monthly contribution by the City of $160 or ninety percent of the highest health insurance premium rate for the employee and two or more dependents, whichever is greater, plus an amount equal to three percent of each 14anagement- Confidential employee's total pay may be used as follows: 1. SECTION IA2.115 EDUCATION EXPENSES -- REIMBURSEMENT. Man - agement- Confidential employees shall, upon an approved applica- tion and agreement to the provisions of this section, be re- imbursed eighty percent of the cost of tuition and books to a maxi- mum of $500 per year for work - related college courses; provided, however, such courses have been approved by the City Manager. Em- ployees voluntarily terminating employment with the City within two months from completion of co•srsework shall have deducted from their finial pay 100 percent of the amount reimbursed; thereafter, . ten percent less than 100 percent shall be deducted from their final pay for each full month worked up to twelve months from the date of the completion of the course. SECTION 1A2.140 HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY -- BATTALION CHIEFS. Battalion Chiefs assigned to fire suppression duty shall be paid for 144 hours in lieu of holidays once a year on or about the 10th day of December. Such Battalion Chiefs who serve in that capacity less than a full year shall be paid holiday pay on a pro rata basis. SECTION 3. All resolutions and orders of the City Council • heretofore passed and adopted with reference to the same, or any -5- I_ M (�tL41.) –6— of the matters and subjects hereinabcve set forth or referred to, are hereby rescinded insofar as the same conflict witiz tl:e provisions hereof.. SECTION did That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings o£ the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
