A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTIONS
1A5.0101 1A5.020, 1A5.030, 1A5.055 AND 1A5.160
OF: AND ADDING SECTIONS 1A5.023, 1A5.025,
1A5.027 AND 1A5.028 TO CHAPTER 1A5 (POLICE
SAFETY SERVICE SERIES) OF TITLE lA OF THE
EL SEGUNDO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sections 1A5.010, 1A5.020, 1A5.030, 1A5.055
and 1A5.160 of Chapter 1A5 of Title lA of the E1 Segundo Adminis-
trative Code adopted by Resolution No. 2620, as amended, are
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1A5.010 BASIC SALARY SCHEDULE - -SWORN PERSONNEL -
PERS 2% AT 50. That except as hereinafter specifically provided
and subject to other provisions of this resolution, all sworn
personnel in the police service enumerated in this Chapter other
than those participating in the Educational Incentive Pay Program
who were employed before February 6, 1982 shall be entitled to
received for his or her services in his or her position the appli-
cable rate of compensation shown in the following basic salary
schedule prescribed for the class in which his or her position
is allocated, for the period commencing June 12, 1982, to wit:

? SECTION 1A5.020 EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVE PAY SALARY SCHEDULES -
-PERS 2% AT 50. (A) Commencing June 12, 1982, all sworn personnel
of the police service enumerated in this Chapter to whom the
Educational Incentive Pay Program is applicable who were employed
before February 6, 1982 and who have obtained a P.O.S.T. Intermediate
Certificate shall receive for his or her services, compensation
at the grade and step to which they are entitled by classification
and lenght of service, in accordance with the following salary
schedule:

SECTION 1A5.030 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES BY SERIES. The
following respective range numbers or hourly rates are hereby
allocated and assigned to the following respective officers,
positions or employments in the service of said City, hereinafter
set forth opposite each classification and range number:

(Pursuant to Section 1A5.028)
SECTION 1A5.055. FIELD TRAINING OFFICER PAY. Effective
June 12, 1982, Police Officers who are assigned by the Police
Chief as Field Training Officers to train probationary Police
Officers shall, while functioning in the capacity of a Field
officer, be paid the sum of $95.00 per month above the range
and step of the Police Officer classification to which they are
entitled by length of service and performance; provided, however,
that when such assignment continues during only part of a pay
period, the special allowance provided by this section shall
be prorated.
SECTION 1A5.160 HOLIDAYS -- PAYMENT IN LIEU. Police
Department personnel who are regularly required to work on holidays,
notwithstanding any provision herein to the contrary, shall be
paid for ninety -six hours in lieu of holidays once a year on
or about the 10th day of December. Employees who terminate shall
be paid holiday pay on a pro rata basis.
SECTION 2. Sections 1A5.023, 1A5.025, 1A5.027 and
1A5.028 are added to Chapter 1A5 of Title lA of the E1 Segundo
Administrative Code to read as follows:

and subject to other provisions of this resolution, all sworn
personnel in the police service enumerated in this Chapter employed
on or after February 6, 1982 other than those participating in
the Educational Incentive Pay Program shall be entitled to receive
for his or her services in his or her positon the applicable
rate of compensation shown in the following basic salary schedule
prescribed for the class in which his or her position is allocated,
• for the period commencing June 12, 1982, to wit:

OFFICERS. All non -sworn Police Service Officers shall be entitled
to receive for his or her services in his or her position the
rate of compensation shown in the following salary schedule pre-

0 SECTION 3. All Resolutions and orders of the City
Council heretofore passed and adopted with reference to the same,
or any of the matters and subjects hereinabove set forth or
referred to, are hereby rescinded insofar as the same conflict
with the provisions hereof.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
0 and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute
of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the pro-
ceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes of
the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
