• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CONCURRING IN THE FIND-
INGS AND DETERMINATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNING COM-
MISSION AS SET FORTH IN ITS RESOLUTION N0. 1095
DENYING THE APPEAL OF MR. OSCAR ROBISON IN SAID
MATTER; AND ACCORDINGLY DENYING APPROVAL OF
PARCEL MAP N0. 14928 (SUBDIVISION NO. 7 -81).
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Title 19 of the "El Segundo
• Municipal Code" and the laws of the State of California applicable to such
matters, Parcel Map No. 14928 was filed with the Planning Commission of the
City of El Segundo by Mr. Oscar Robison for a subdivision for property
located in the City of El Segundo, more particularly described as follows:
The southerly 40 feet of Lot 7 and the southerly 162.5
feet of the westerly 80 feet of Lot 6, Block 105, El
Segundo Tract as recorded in Book 20, Pages 22 and 23
of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County
of Los Angeles, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Parcel Map No. 14928 was thereupon and thereafter
duly, regularly and lawfully processed and heard by the Planning Conmii.ssion;
and
TEAS, after such processing and hearing, the Planning Com-
mission did duly and regularly at a meeting of the Commission held January
14, 1982, adopt its Resolution No. 1095 denying approval of Parcel Map No.
14928; and
WHEREAS, an appeal in writing from the decision of the Planning
Commission was duly and regularly filed with the City Council by Mr. Oscar
Robison within the time required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, thereafter, duly regularly and
lawfully process and hear the matter of said application, the action of said
Commission in denying the approval of Parcel Map No. 14928 and the appeal
thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now reached its decision in the
matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY: (1) make the
same findings and determinations with reference to the application of said
fapplicant as were made by the Planning Conrnission in its Resolution No.
1095, stated in a different manner as follows:
a. The project as proposed would violate the intent
and purpose of City and State subdivision laws;
b. The project as proposed would result in a lot
configuration contrary to the intent and purpose
of the R -1 lot requirements within our City code;
c. The proposed lot configuration is not in keeping
with the reasonable interpretation of lot design
as outlined in the City's zoning code;
d. The project as proposed would disrupt the homogeneous
character of the residential lots in the area and
zone and would work to the disruption of sound long -
range development criteria in the city.
(2) sustain the findings, determinations and action of the Planning ConTnis-
Sion with reference to the application; and (3) in view of the foregoing
recitals, findings and determinations, deny the application of the applicant
and deny the appeal of the applicant,
SECTION 2. That one copy of this resolution shall be forwarded
to the applicant at the address shown upon the application, and one copy shall
be attached to the file in the case and returned to the Planning Commission
for permanent filing.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original
resolutions of said City; and shall rake a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in
the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
