CC RESOLUTION 31251_: 656 • RESOLUTION N©: 3125 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS .ANGELES TO CONSOLIDATE A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY TO BE HELD ON JUNE 8, 1982 WITH THE STATEWIDE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON SAID DATE PURSUANT TO SECTION 23302 OF THE ELECTIONS CODE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo called a special municipal election in said city to be held on June 8, 1982, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said city a measure relating to the placement of a moratorium on the erection, construction, enlargement, demolition or creation of commercial or residential buildings containing greater than four dwelling units as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, it is desirable that said special municipal election be consolidated with the statewide primary election to be held on the same date and that within said city the precincts, polling places and election officers of the two elections be the same, and that the Registrar- Recorder of the County of Los Angeles canvass the returns of the special municipal election and that said statewide primary election and special municipal election be held in all respects as if there were only one election; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo does hereby resolve, determine, and order as follows; SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of Section 23302 of the Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles be and it hereby is requested to consent and agree to the consolidation of a special municipal election with the statewide primary election on Tuesday, June 8, 1982, for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the City of El Segundo a measure to appear on the ballot as follows; .. • ' .. . . p . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Shall an'ordinance placing a moratorium on the YES ' erection, construction, enlargement, demolition ' or creation of commercial or residential build - ings containing greater than four dwelling units' be adopted? NO E SECTION 2. Said Registrar- Recorder is hereby authorized to canvass the returns of said special municipal election which it is hereby requested to consolidate with said statewide primary election and said election shall be held in all respects as if there were only one election, and only one form of ballot shall be used, SECTION 3. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby requested to issue instructions to the Registrar - Recorder to take any and all steps necessary for the holding of said consolidated election. SECTION 4. The City of El Segundo recognizes that additional costs will be incurred by the County by reason of this consolidation and agrees to reimburse the County for any such costs. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Board of Supervisors and toe Registrar - Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
