A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO ORDER THE VACATION (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION
AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND RIGHTS -OF-
WAY) OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF PINE AVENUE WITHIN
SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California,
has determined to vacate that portion of Pine Avenue hereinafter described in
Section 1 of this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to reserve and except
from said vacation certain easements as hereinafter set forth in Section 2 of
this resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, pursuant to the provisions of Section 8230 et seq. ,
Chapter 3 of the "Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation
Law ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER.
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation of a certain portion of Pine
Avenue, within said City, which is more particularly described as follows:
All those portions of Lots 277, 278, 323 and 324, in
Block 123, as shown on map of sheet_ 8 El Segundo,
recorded in Book 22, pages 106 and 107 of maps in
the office of the County Recorder, County of Los
Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
The southerly 25.00 feet of the easterly
139.25 feet of said Lot 277, and
the northerly 25.00 feet of the easterly
139.25 feet of said Lot 278, and
the northerly 25.00 feet of the westerly
139.25 feet of said Lot 323, and
the southerly 25.00 feet of the westerly
139.25 feet of said Lot 324.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said portion
of Pine Avenue, reference is hereby made to map entitled, "PORTION OF PINE
AVENUE BEING THOSE PORTIONS OF LOTS 277, 278, 323 and 324 PROPOSED
TO BE VACATED BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 3097 ", on file and
open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo,
California, in the City Hall of said City.

SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby determine that the
public convenience and necessity require the reservation of certain easements
and rights -of -way for structures enumerated in Section 8340 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, and these proceedings are taken,
subject to such reservations and exceptions. The easements and rights -of -way
'hereby reserved and excepted from the vacation are the following, to wit:
The permanent easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove,
and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant
structures in, upon, over and across a street or highway
proposed to be vacated and, pursuant to any existing franchise
or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove, renew, and enlarge lines of pipe,
conduits," cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures,
equipment, and fixtures for the operation of gas pipelines,
telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the
transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum
and its products, ammonia, and water, and for incidental
purposes, including access to protect such works from all
hazards in, upon, and over the street or highway proposed
to be vacated.
SECTION 3. That the hour of 7:00 p. m. , on Tuesday,
October 6, 1981, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350 Main Street,
in said city, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and
where any and all persons interested in .or objecting to the proposed vacation
of said portion of said public street may appear before said City Council and
be heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
El Segundo; California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF
STREET VACATION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON" to be posted as
required by the said Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation
Law, being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and the City Council of said City hereby elects to proceed: under the
provisions of said Act.

SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the
El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and
circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City
Council.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1981.
