A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AMEND-
MENTS TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT AND THE LAND
USE ELEMENT MAP -- AMENDMENT NO. 3. (RAILROAD
RIGHT -OF -WAY)
WHEREAS, on September 2, 1975, the City Council of
the City of E1 Segundo, after a public hearing duly and regularly
held, adopted Resolution No. 2650, entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND
ADOPTING THE LAND -USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL
PLAN; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
after pbuli.c hearings duly and regularly held, on October 18,
1977 and January 16, 1979 adopted Resolutions Nos. 2812 and 2885,
respectively, amending the Land Use Element and the Land Use
Element Map; and
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1980, the Planning Commisison
of the City of El Segundo after a public hearing duly and regu-
larly held, adopted Resolution No. 1045, entitled:
A, RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, RECOM-
MENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT
AND LAND USE MAP OF THE GENERAL PLAN.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo
did, pursuant to law, hold a duly advertised public hearing on
such matter in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 350 Main
Street, in the City of El Segundo, on December 16, 1980; and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was given to all persons to
present documentary evidence or testimony both for and against
approving the amendments to the Land Use Elements and the Land
Use Element Map of the General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Land Use Element of the General Plan
of the City of E1 Segundo as evidenced by "Final Draft Land -Use
!� Element of the General Plan for the City of El Segundo ", dated
May 22, 1975, and the "Land -Use Element Map" attached thereto,
on file in the office of the City Clerk, as amended by Resolu-
tions Nos. 2812 and 2885, be and the same is hereby amended
by changing the land use of certain areas as follows:
1. From Unclassified to Special Commercial, for an area
l� commonly known as the vacated Southern Pacific Railroad
right-of-way, legally descibed as follows:
All that portion of Parcel 3, Parcel Map
No. 7707 recorded in Book 100, Page 78 of
Parcel Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, lying northeasterly of the fol-
lowing described line:
BEGINNING at a point in the northerly line
of said Parcel 3, located 8.47 feet easterly
of the Northwest corner of said Parcel 3;
THENCE southeasterly along a curve, concave
southwesterly having a radius of 400.69
feet through a central angle of 8 32136"
an arc length of 208.86 feet more or less
to a point in the southeasterly line of said
Parcel 3, said point being 23.86 feet south-
westerly from the Southeast corner of said
Parcel 3; and
All that portion of vacated E1 Segundo Boule-
vard (formerly a portion of Lot 434, Block
123, Sheet 8 El Segundo as recorded in Book
22, Pages 106 and 107 of Maps in the Office
of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles,
State of California), lying northeasterly
of the southwesterly line of said Lot 434,
vacated by Resolution No. 2932 adopted by
the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo
on July 3, 1979.
1A. From Unclassified to Light Manufacturing, for an area
commonly known as a vacated portion of El Segundo
Boulevard, legally described as follows:
All that portion of vacated El Segundo Boule-
vard (formerly a portion of Lots 409 and
410, Block 123, Sheet 8 El Segundo as re-
corded in Book 22, Pages 106 and 107 of Maps
in the Office of the County Recorder, County
of Los Angeles, State of California) lying
southwesterly of the northeasterly line of
said Lot 410, vacated by Resolution No. 2932,
adopted by the City Council of the City of
El Segundo on July 3, 1979.
2. From Unclassified and Light Manufacturing to Public
Facilities, for an area commonly known as the vacated
railroad right -of -way and the area generally located

between the railroad right -of -way and Illinois Street,
South of Franklin Avenue, legally described as follows:
All of Parcel 2, Parcel Map No. 7707
recorded in Book 100, Page 78 of Parcel
Maps in the Office of the County Recorder,
County of Los Angeles, State of California.
3. From Unclassified to Light Manufacturing, for an area
commonly known as the vacated railroad right -of -way,
generally located between Franklin Avenue and Holly
Avenue, legally described as follows:
All that portion of Parcel 4, Parcel Map
No. 7707 recorded in Book 100, Page 78 of
Parcel Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, lying southwesterly of a line
parallel to and 40.00 feet northeasterly
of the southwesterly line of said Parcel
4; and
All those portions of Parcel 1 and Parcel
3', Parcel Map No. 10427 recorded in Book
1.13, Page 25 of Parcel Maps in the Office
of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, lying northeasterly
of a line parallel to and 40.00 feet south-
westerly of the northeasterly line of said

Map No. 10427 lying southwesterly of a line
parallel to and 40.00 feet northeasterly
of the southwesterly line of said Parcel
2; and
All that portion of Parcel 3 of said Parcel
Map No. 10427 encompassing vacated Illinois
Street and Franklin Avenue (formerly a por-
tion of Lot 345, Block 123, Sheet 8 El Se-
gundo as recorded in Book 22, Pages 106 and
107 of Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of
California) vacated by Resolution No. 2839,
adopted by the City Council of the City of
El Segundo on March 21, 1978; and
All that portion of Parcel 1 of Parcel Map
No. 7191 recorded in Book 110, Pages 96 and
97 of Parcel Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, lying southwesterly of the south-
easterly prolongation of the northeasterly
line of Lot 434, Block 1.23, E1 Segundo as

That portion of El Segundo Boulevard (52

by Resolution No. 1754, adopted by the City

18, Page 69 of Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, State
of California, vacated by Resolution No.
1754, adopted by the City Council of the
City of E1 Segundo on October 14, 1954, lying
between the westerly line of Loma Vista
Street and the westerly boundary of the City
of El Segundo, as shown on said El Segundo
Sheet 1.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the

minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
