CC RESOLUTION 2987RESOLUTION NO. 2987 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GIVING ASSURANCES OF CONTINUED FUNDING FOR A BURGLARY PREVEN- TION PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the filing of a proposal for inclusion in the 1980 Regional Plan of the Los Angeles Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board; and WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board requires that "Applicants should indicate by resolution of intent to provide continued financial support following the grant period and the implementation of the project proposal."; NOW, THEREFORE, THF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City of El Segundo, consistent with its past practIce of adopting those tools which most effectively combat crime, contemplates that the proposed burglary prevention program will prove to be an effective and viable instrument in this regard and contemplates funding the same out of the General Fund within its budgetary constraints as long as the program continues to be effective and viable. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
