CC RESOLUTION 2934Iv► V `1#: y • RESOLUTION NO. 2934 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTIONS 1A5.010, 1A5.020, 1A5.030 AND 1A5.050 OF, AND ADDING SECTIONS 1A5.045 AND 1A5.212 TO, CHAP- TER 1A5 (POLICE SAFETY SERVICE SERIES) OF TITLE lA OF THE EL SEGUNDO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Sections 1A5.010, 1A5.020, 1A5.030 and 1A5.050 of Chapter 1A5 of Title lA of the E1 Segundo Administrative Code adopted by Resolution No. 2620, as amended, are amended to read as follows: SECTION 1A5.010 BASIC SALARY SCHEDULE. (A) Commencing June 30, 1979, all sworn personnel of the Police service enumerated in this Chapter to whom the Educa- tional Incentive Pay Program is applicable and who have obtained a P.O.S.T. Intermediate Certificate shall receive for his or her services compensation, at the grade and step to which they are entitled by classification and length of service, in accordance with the following salary schedule: P.O.S.T. ADVANCED CERTIFICATE (100) SALARY SCHEDULE SECTION 1A5.030 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES BY SERIES. Com- mencing June 30, 1979, the following respective range numbers or hourly rates are hereby allocated and assigned to the following respective offices, positions or employments in the service of said City, hereinafter set forth opposite each classification and range number: Classification Police Lieutenant Police Sergeant Police Officer Police Service Officer Police Cadet Start Regular Pay $4.09 Deferred Pay .24 Total Pay 4.33 Range No. 712 700 685 659 $5.01 .30 5.31 18 months $5.85 .35 6.20 SECTION 1A5.050 MOTORCYCLE HAZARD PAY. SECTION 2. Sections 1A5.045 and 1A5.212 are added to Chapter 1A5 of Title lA of said El Segundo Administrative Code to read as follows: SECTION 1A5.045 POLICE OFFICER -- DETECTIVE -- SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT. Police Officers temporarily assigned as Detectives or to other special assignments which may be approved by the City Manager from time to time, shall be compensated at a range and step equal to five percent above the range and step of the Police Officer classification to which they are entitled by length of service and performance. SECTION 1A5.212 INSURANCE BENEFITS. A. Medical. All sworn personnel of the police service enumerated in this Chapter shall receive a total of $95.00 per month for health and medical insurance under the existing group plan for the employee and one dependent effective the first payroll date after July 1, 1979 in which medical and dental insurance deductions are drawn. B. Dental. All sworn personnel of the police service enumerated in this Chapter shall receive a total of $14.36 per month for dental insurance for the employee only effective the first payroll date after July 1, 1979 in which medical and dental insurance deductions are drawn. C. Medical. Should the employee only dental plan cost be less than $14.36 per month the difference between the actual employee only cost and $14.36 may be applied toward the payment of the medical insurance premium. SECTION 3. All resolutions and orders of the City Council heretofore passed and adopted with reference to the same, or any of the matters and subjects hereinabove set forth or - 4 - referred to, are hereby rescinded insofar as the same conflict with the provisions hereof. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
