CC RESOLUTION 2923• "RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 292 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN- TION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS ANI) RIGHTS -OF -WAY) OF A CER- TAIN PORTION OF EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941,11 being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation and abandonment of a certain portion of El Segundo Boulevard, within said City, which is more particularly described as follows: Those portions of Lots 409, 410 and 434 in Block 123, E1 Segundo Map Sheet 8, as recorded in Book 22, Pages 106 and 107 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the westerly line of said Lot 409 and distant northerly 11.00 feet from the Southwest cor- ner of said Lot 409; THENCE North 89053'49" East along a line parallel to and 11.00 feet northerly of the south- erly line of said Lots 409 and 410, a distance of 109.25 feet to a point; THENCE North 0006'34" West along a line parallel to and 109.25 feet easterly of the westerly line of said Lot 409, a distance of 2.00 feet to a point; THENCE northeasterly along a curve whose tangent in per - pendicular to the last mentioned course, said curve being concave northwesterly and having a radius of 50.00 feet, through a central angle of 3605211211, an arc distance of 32.18 feet more or less to the point of intersection with the easterly line of said Lot 434, said point of inter- section lying 23.00 feet northerly of the Southeast cor- ner of said Lot 434; THENCE North 0006134" West along said easterly line of Lot 434 a distance of 27.00 feet to a point; THENCE South 71058'58" West along a line a dis- tance of 97.57 feet to the point of intersection with the easterly line of said Lot 409, said point of intersection being 20.00 feet northerly of the southeast corner of said Lot 409; THENCE South 89053'49" West along a line parallel to and 20.00 feet northerly of the said south- erly line of Lot 409 a distance of 46.42 feet to the point of intersection with the westerly line of said Lot 409; THENCE South 0006'34" East along said westerly line of Lot 409 a distance of 9.00 feet to the point of begin- ning. '0 vJ U tw I For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said portion of E1 Segundo Boulevard, reference is hereby made to map, entitled "PORTIONS OF LOTS 409, 410 AND 434 PROPOSED TO BE VACATED BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2q23 -," on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo, California, in the City Hall of said City. SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of certain easements and rights -of -way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali - fornia, and these proceedings are taken, subject to such reserva- tions and exceptions. The easements and rights -of -way hereby reserved and excepted from the vacation are the following, to wit: The permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pur- suant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, water, and incidental purposes, :including access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon and over the street or part thereof pro- posed to be vacated. SECTION 3. That the :hour of 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 3, 1979, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350 Main Street, -2 - I •i fL% �t 4Yi �f • in said city, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portions of said public streets may appear before said City Council and be heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of E1 Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF STREET VACATION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON," to be posted as required by the said Street Vacation Act of 1941, being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the City Council of said city hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.
