A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION SET FORTH IN
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1359 TO VACATE,
AND RESOLUTION NO. 1364 ORDERING THE VACA-
TION OF, A CERTAIN PORTION OF ARENA STREET
WITHIN SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, on October 16, 1953, the City Council of
the City of E1 Segundo adopted Resolution of Intention No. 1359
declaring its intention to order the vacation of a certain portion
of Arena Street within said city; and
WHEREAS, on November 12, 1953, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 1364 ordering the vacation of a certain portion
of Arena Street within said city; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 1364 was recorded on November 16,
1953, as Document No. 2243, in Book 43168, Page 143 of official
records of` Los Angeles County; and
WHEREAS, the legal description in the copy of Resolution
No. 1364 certified to by the City Clerk and recorded with the
Los Angeles County Recorder was as follows:
All that portion of Arena Street lying between
the north line of Grand Avenue and the south
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way,
as shown on the map recorded as El Segundo
Sheet No. 1 in Map Book 18, Page 69, on file in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California; and
WHEREAS, Arena Street, lying between the north line
of Grand Avenue and the south line of the Pacific Electric Railway
right -of -way, is shown on Sheet No. 7, as per map recorded in
Book 22, Pages 54 and 55 of Maps, instead of Sheet 1, as per
map recorded in Book 18, Page 69 of Maps as described in
Resolutions Nos. 1359 and 1364; and
WHEREAS, the reference to Sheet No. 1, as per map
recorded in Book 18, Page 69 of Maps, in the above - mentioned
legal description, is surplusage; and
WHEREAS, the legal description for the portion of
Arena vacated by Resolution No. 1364 is:
• All that portion of Arena Street lying between
the north line of Grand Avenue and the south'
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way,
as shown on the map recorded as El Segundo Sheet
No. 7 in Map Book 22, Pages 54 and 55, on file in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California; and

WHEREAS, the official resolution book on file in the
office of the City Clerk has, at some time, been corrected to
show on both Resolutions Nos. 1359 and 1364 the foregoing correct
legal description;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the legal description contained in
Section 1.. of Resolution of Intention No. 1359 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
All that portion of Arena Street lying between
the north line of Grand Avenue and the south
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way,
as shown on the map recorded as El Segundo Sheet
No. 7 in Map Book 22, Pages 54 and 55, on file in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California;
SECTION 2. That the legal description contained in
Section 2. of Resolution No. 1364 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
All that portion of Arena Street lying between
the north line of Grand Avenue and the south
line of the Pacific Electric Railway right of way,
as shown on the map recorded as El Segundo Sheet
No. 7 in Map Book 22, Pages 54 and 55, on file in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a
minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
Septernber , 1977.
