Sections 1A3.010 and 1A3.075 of Chapter lA3 of Title lA of the El Segundo Administrative Code adopted by Resolution No. 2620, as amended, are amended to read as follows: SECTION 1A3.010 BASIC SALARY SCHEDULE. An employee who works a shift in which more than four hours falls between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. shall be paid an additional ten cents per hour for each hour worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6 :00 a.m. SECTION 2. Chapter lA3 of Title lA of the E1 Segundo • Administrative Code is amended by adding thereto Section 1A3.102 to read as follows: SECTION 1A3.102 SICK LEAVE; LEAVE WITH PAY DUE TO ILLNESS; ACCUMULATION OF SAME. Sick leave with pay may be granted for an absence from duty because of personal illness, injury, or legal quarantine not compensable under the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Laws of the State of California. Permanent employees shall accumulate sick leave at the rate of one eight -hour day accumulation for each months's service not to exceed a maximum of 1056 hours. Employees hired on and after August 22, 1977 shall accumulate sick leave at the rate of four hours for each month's service during the first year of initial employment with the City. Hours worked in addition to a regular work week shall not entitle an employee to additional sick leave accumulation. Sick leave taken by an employee shall be deducted from his accumulated credit. SECTION 3. Section 1A6.110 of Chapter lA6 of Title lA of the E1 Segundo Administrative Code is hereby rescinded. SECTION 4. Title lA of the El Segundo Administrative Code is amended by adding thereto Chapter 1A7 (Deferred Compensation Plan) to read as follows: CHAPTER 1A7 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN SECTION 1A7.010 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN ESTABLISHED. -7- 1 2.1396 0 There is hereby established a deferred compensation plan for the employees regulated by Chapter lA3 of this Code. Each such employee shall have the amount shown as deferred compensation in Section 1A3.010 applied directly to such employee's contributions to the Public Employees Retirement System; provided, however, and until the Internal • Revenue Service determines that such contributions are "employer" contributions such deferred compensation provided for in Section 1A3.010 shall be paid directly to the employee. SECTION 4. All resolutions and orders of the City Council heretofore passed and adopted with reference to the same, or any of the matters and subjects hereinabove set forth or referred to, are hereby rescinded insofar as the same conflict with the provisions hereof. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said city, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
