Mi T- E R E A S 91 the Public Employees' Retirement Law permits the I participation of
public agencies and their employees in the Public -Empleyees'
Retirement System by the execution of a contract, and sets forth t'lle
procedure by which said public agencies may elect to subject -Liem
selves and their employees to amendments to said law; and

one of the steps in the procedure to amend this contract is the
adoption by the legislative body of the public agency of a resolu-
tion giving notice of its intention to approve an amendr-clellt to
said co--iitract, whicli resolution shall contain a summary of the
change proposed in said contract; and
WHI 'RE AS $ the following is a statement of the proposed change:
Provides service credit under the provisions of Chapter 830,
Stats. 1976, for up to four years of continuous military
or Ta--rchant marine service for persons who are merabers
because of employment by Public Agency for local firemen.
THI--;'RIEFOR-E, BE IT rZESOLVED, that the governing body of the above agenc-y
gives, and it does hereby give notice of intention to aq-)

amendment to the contract between the said goven-iing body and the
Board of Adr.-iinistration of the Public ""Uployees' Retirement System.,
