A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 1A2 (MANAGEMENT - CONFIDENTIAL
SERIES); CHAPTER 1A5 (POLICE SAFETY SERVICE
SERIES); AND CHAPTER 1A6 (GENERAL RULES) OF
TITLE 1A OF THE EL SEGUNDO ADMINISTRATIVE
CODE.
0 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section IA2.080 of Chapter 1A2 (Management-
Confidential Series) of Title 1A of the "El Segundo Administrative Code"
adopted by Resolution No. 2620 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION IA2.080 OVERTIME PAY- - EXCEPTION.
Management - Confidential employees shall not be paid overtime
pay. Fire Battalion Chiefs assigned to Fire Suppression shall
be paid straight time rates for time worked on platoon duty or
scheduled or non - scheduled rehires in excess of fifty -six hours
per week. "
SECTION 2. Section 1A5. 140 of Chapter IA5 (Police Safety Ser-
vice Series) of Title 1A of the "El Segundo Administrative Code" adopted by
Resolution No. 2620 is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 3. Section 1A6.290 of Chapter 1A6 (General Rules) of
Title lA of the "El Segundo Administrative Code" adopted by Resolution
No. 2620 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1A6.290 OVERTIME PAY -- COMPENSATORY
TIME. Compensatory time may be substituted for overtime pay-
ment if approved by the City Manager, provided that the accumu-
lation may not exceed twenty -four hours, or thirty hours for em-
ployees assigned to a four -day ten hour working schedule, or three
working days at any one time, and no more than eighty hours may
be accumulated or used in any one calendar year; compensatory time
may be used in conjunction with normal vacation with prior approval
of the! City Manager. No more than three consecutive days for com-
pensatory time may be used. "

• SECTION 4. All resolutions and orders of the City Council

heretofore passed and adopted with reference to the same, or any of the
matters and subjects hereinabove set forth or referred to, are hereby
rescinded :insofar as the same conflict with the provisions hereof.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original reso-
lutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in
the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
