THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, .DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS SECTION 1. Sections 1A2.010 and 1A2.070 of Chapter IA2 of Title lA of the El Segundo Administrative Code adopted by Resolution.No. -2626, as amended, are amended to read as follows: SECTION :1A.2.010 BASIC SALARY SCHEDULE. Salary increases shall be based on evaluation of an individual's performance; there shall be no automatic step progression and no .longevity step increases. Salary increases shall normally be made once each year on or near July 1. Increases may be made at other times on the basis of superior job performance or unusual circumstances. Newly hired employees shall be eligible for growth salary increases six months after employment. -4e !: Salary Increases shall be granted in one percent increments in accordance with the salary schedule shown in Section 1A2.010. The maximum increase that may approved by the City Manager for employees whose salaries are above the control point is ten percent in any fiscal year. Increases in excess of ten percent for employees whose salaries are above the control paint shall be submitted to the City Council for approval. A salary increase, when granted, shall continue for the entir_e'fiscal year unless the City Manager recommends and the Council `h approves a decrease. SECTION 2. Section 1A2.145..is added to Chapter 1A2 of Title lA of the El Segundo Administrative Code to read as follows: SECTION 1A2.145 VACA'T'ION TIME ACCRUAL--PAYMENT IN LIEN OF. Management-Confidential employees who have completed one year of service may receive cash payment in lieu of accrued vacation time up to a maximum of one -half the annual accrual to which they are entitled by length of service. SECTION 3. All resolutions and orders of the City Council heretofore passed and adopted with reference to the same, or any of the matters and subjects hereinabove set forth or referred to, are hereby repealed insofar as the same conflict with the provisions hereof. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council -of said City, in the minutes of the meetint at which the same is passed and adopted. � 6th PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this day of July , 1976.
