Justice Planning; and W 'RE .A.S, the California Office of Criminal Justice Pla.n.n.inq has been organized to administer the funds appropriated by Congress and allocated for use in California under the previsions of the law and I EREAS he Southern. HIznd.red F ifteen Thousand TN,10 Hundred Seventy Dollars ($1,815,27/0) to 'Luna an Equipment Procur,emant for a cooperative communications endeavor entitled "Phase III South Batt' Regional C,ompunlcations Project"; and WHEREAS, the surn of Twenty-One T housa.nd Three Hundred i_nety- Sever. Dollars and Sixty-One Cents ($21,39'11.61) has been assessed - i of the City of El Segundo for the hard-cash matching fends requirement,, I• NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, DOES RESOLVE as follows 1. That the City Council agrees to participate in the proposed "Phase III South Bay Regional Communications Project', to accept its share of the grant, and to provide the City's :sham of hard -cash matching funds which has been determined to be a sum equal to Twenty --One Thousand Three Hundred Ninety- Se',ren Dollars and Sixty -One Cents ($21,397.61). 2. That the Cite Manager is herewith designated as the City's representative in the conduct of the "Phase III -South Bay Regional Communications Project" and is authorized to furnish information, execute documents, make expenditures and perform associated-administrative functions within the scope of authority granted by this resolution. The City Manager may designate other employees as necessary to assist him in these duties. 3. That the grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant ongoing law enforcement expenditures. 4. That in the conduct of this Project, the City will conply With Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
