CC RESOLUTION 2615• RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2615
,4. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO., CALIFORNIA., DECLARING ITS IN-
TENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
IMENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF ROSECRANS
AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY.
The Council of the City of El Segundo., California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941, " being Part 3 of Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways'Code of the State of California, does here-
by resolve., declare, determine and order as follows:

aECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation and abandonment of a
certain portion of Rosecrans Avenue, within said City, which is more parti-
cularly described as follows:
That parcel of land in Section 18, Township 3 South, Range 14
West, in the Rancho Sausal Redondo, in the City of El Segundo,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on the
map filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court Case No. 11629
on June 21, 1890, a copy of which map appears in the files of
the County Surveyor of said County, as Clerk's Filed Map
No. 218, described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of the South 50
feet, measured at right angles, of said Section 18, which point
is the southeasterly corner of the land described in deed to
Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., recorded July 5, 1968,
as instrument No. 387, in Book D-4055, Page 968 of Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County; thence, South 89* 571 34" East, along said North
line, 238.00 feet; thence leaving said North line north-
westerly along a tangent curve, concave northeasterly and
having a radius of 19 7. 00 feet, through a central angle of
12'0 40" 49", an arc distance of 43.60 feet to the beginning
of a reverse curve, concave southwesterly and having a
radius of 213. 00 feet; thence northwesterly along said
reverse curve through -a central angle of 12" 401 49", an
arc distance of 47. 14 feet to the North line of the
South 60 feet, measured at right angles, of said Section 18;
thence North 890 571 34" West, along said last mentioned
North 'Line, and tangent to said last mentioned curve, 148.00
feet to the East line of said land of Air Products and
Chemiclals, Inc., thence South 00 021 26" West, along said
East line, 10.00 feet to the point of beginning.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said portion
of Rosecrans, Avenue, reference is hereby made to map, entitled "PORTION
OF ROSECRANS AVENUE PROPOSED TO BE VACATED BY RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION NO. 2615 .0 11 on file and open to public inspection in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo, California, in the City Hall
of said City.

SECTION 2. That the hour of 7:00 pp m. , on Tuesday., April 15, 1975,
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350 Main Street., in said city,
be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any
and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said
portion of said public street may appear before said City Council and be
heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 3., That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
El Segundo., California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF
STREET VACATION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, " to be posted
as required by the said Street Vacation Act of 1941, being Part 3 of Division
9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the City
Council of said city hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said
Act.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in
the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose by the said
City Council.

whole number of members of the City Council of the said City
is five; that the foregoing Resolution, being Resolution No. 2615
was duly passed and adopted by the said City Council, approved
and signed by the Mayor of said City, and attested by the City
Clerk of said City, all at a regular meeting of the said Council
held on the 18th day of March 1975
and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Nagel, Van Vranken and Mayor Balmer;
NOES: Councilmen None
ABSENT: Councilmen Rockhold
NOT VOTING: Councilman Stephens
