RESOLUTION NO. 2571
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING
PRECINCTS, POLLING PLACES AND APPOINTING
ELECTION OFFICERS FOR THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD TUESDAY, THE 20TH DAY
OF AUGUST, 1974.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
did on June 3, 1974 adopt Resolution No. 2550, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING
SUBMITTED TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS AT A
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
TUESDAY THE 20TH DAY OF AUGUST 1974 A CER-
TAIN INITIATIVE ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN
INCREASE IN TAXES FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ACQUIRING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY. "; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California,
did on June 3, 1974 adopt Resolution No. 2551, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING,
CALLING, PROVIDING FOR AND GIVING NOTICE
OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN SAID CITY ON AUGUST 20, 1974 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED
VOTERS OF SAID CITY AN ORDINANCE AMEND-
ING TITLE 20 (THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE) OF THE "EL SEGUNDO MUNICIPAL
CODE" BY AMENDING THE ZONING MAP REFER-
RED TO IN SECTION 20. 16. 030 OF SAID CODE,
AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 820 (MOSAIC
TILE COMPANY) ";
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the ballots to be used at the Special Municipal
Election shall be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as
may be required by Law to be used thereat.
SECTION 2. That for the purpose of holding said Special Munici-
pal Election, there shall be and are hereby established nine (9) voting
precincts consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts in
the City of E1 Segundo established for the holding of state and county
elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption

of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts
shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter
named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said City
are hereby appointed officers of election and they shall hold said election
and make return thereof in the manner provided by law.

SECTION 3. That the compensation of the persons hereinbefore
named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Twenty -five Dollars
for each Inspector and Twenty Dollars for each Judge and Clerk for said
election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made,
shall be the sum of Twenty -five Dollars for said election. When required,
the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be Twenty -five Dollars
for said election.
SECTION 4. That in all particulars not recited in this Resolution
said election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding
municipal elections in said City.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and

adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Reso-
lutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption there-
of in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the min-
utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
SECTION 6. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
