CC RESOLUTION 2418RESOLUTION NO. 2418 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2161 AND REPEALING RESOLU- TIONS NOS. 2300 AND 2373 (YELLOW CAB COM- PANY OF CALIFORNIA CONDITIONAL PERMIT). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 2300, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMEND- ING RESOLUTION NO. 2161 (YELLOW CAB COM- PANY OF CALIFORNIA CONDITIONAL PERMIT). adopted January 12, 1970, is hereby rescinded. SECTION 2. Resolution No. 2373, entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMEND- ING RESOLUTIONS NOS. 2300 AND 2161 (YELLOW CAB COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA CONDITIONAL PERMIT" , adopted March 22, 1971, is hereby rescinded. SECTION 3. Paragraph (4) of Section 3 of Resolution No. 2161 is amended to read as follows: "(4) That the rates to be charged for taxicab service with- in said city rendered by said permittee shall be in accordance with one of the following two schedules: Schedule No. 1: Flag drop including 2 / 5 mile ............... $0.60 Each additional 2/5 mile ................... 0.20 Each 2 -2 / 3 minutes waiting time . . . . . . . . . . . 0.20 Surcharge of 25¢ per mile on 'out of city' trips, i. e., trips which terminate more than eight (8) miles beyond the limits of the Company's entire authorized area of trip origination. Schedule No. 2: Sixty (60) cents for the first one -third (1/3) mile or fraction thereof, or for the first one and seven - ninths (1-7/9) minutes waiting or traffic delay time or frac- tion thereof (flag drop); and "Ten (10) cents for each succeeding one - fourth (1/4) mile or fraction thereof; or Ten (10) cents for each succeeding one and one -third (1 -1/3) minutes of waiting and traffic delay time. Long hauls: For trips of eight miles or more in length, one -half (1/2) of the mileage rate from the edge of the Yellow Cab Company service area to destination outside the service area. The adopted schedule must be filed with the Police Chief and be conspicuously displayed in each cab. " SECTION 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said city; and shall make a minute of the passage and adop- tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
