RESOLUTION NO. 2354
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE CONCEPT OF REALIGNMENT OF THE SOUTH
CITY BOUNDARY TO THE CENTER LINE OF ROSE -
CRANS AVENUE AS CURRENTLY IMPROVED AND
ORDERING STAFF TO PROCEED WITH APPROPRI-
ATE REALIGNMENT PROCEDURES.
WHEREAS, the majority of the boundary line between the
Cities of El Segundo and Manhattan Beach has for some years been co-
incident with the center line of Rosecrans Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles in its Cash Contract,
Rosecrans Ave., Highland Ave. to Sepulveda Blvd., Job No. 41207, has
modified the alignment of Rosecrans Avenue so that the current boundary
line between said Cities is not in conformity with the center line of Rosecrans
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of El Segundo and Manhattan Beach are
desirous of realigning the City boundary to be consistent with the center line
of Rosecrans Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo here-
by approves the concept of the realignment of the south City boundary of said
City and the north City boundary of Manhattan Beach in conformance with the
map on file in the office of the City Engineer, hereby referred to and by this
reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is hereby directed to prepare the
necessary documentation and to coordinate with the City Attorney of Manhattan
Beach for the joint processing of the boundary realignment by the said Cities,
in conformance with the map referred to in Section 1 of this resolution, before
the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adop-
tion of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions
of said City; and shall make a record of the passage and adoption thereof in the

records and proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of
the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of Novem-
ber , 1970 .
