RESOLUTION NO. 2286
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE
RATES OF TAXES LEVIED IN AND FOR SAID CITY
SUFFICIENT TO RAISE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY
FIXED BY THE SAID CITY COUNCIL IN RESOLUTION
NO. 2285 THEREOF, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON THE
25TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1969, AND THE EXPENSE
OF COLLECTION OF SAID AMOUNT, THE SAID RATES
HEREIN FIXED BEING THE RATES OF TAXES IN AND
FOR SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1969 -1970.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, did, at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of August,
1969, duly pass and adopt Resolution No. 2285 fixing the amount of
money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
therein as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said City;
pay its bonded indebtedness; meet its obligations under the California
Public Employees' Retirement Law; maintain the free public library of
said City; and acquire, maintain and improve the public parks and
recreational facilities of said City for the current fiscal year 1969-
1970, at the total sum of $1, 793, 783. 00 ; and
WHEREAS, said Council estimates that the expense of
collecting the above amount so fixed will amount to the sum of $4, 000. 00
and
WHEREAS, it is now the duty of said City Council to fix
the respective rates of taxes necessary to be levied within said City
in order to raise the respective amounts of money necessary to be
raised by taxation therein for the current fiscal year, 1969 -1970;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE
AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the respective rates of taxes necessary
to be levied upon the taxable property within the said City of El Segundo,
California, in order to raise the amounts of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon such taxable property for the current fiscal year 1969 -1970,
as a revenue to carry on the various departments of said City; pay its
bonded indebtedness; meet its obligations under the California Public
Employees' Retirement Law; maintain the free public library of said
City; and acquire, maintain and improve the public parks and recreational
facilities of said City for said fiscal year; and the expense of collection
of said amounts, shall be and the same are hereby fixed, established and
levied as follows:
Upon all taxable property in said City of El Segundo, California,
such rates on each $100. 00 of the assessed valuation of taxable
property of the said City of El Segundo, shall be and the same
are hereby fixed and established as follows:
For carrying on the various departments

For paying the bonded indebtedness of

For meeting and paying the obligations
of said City in the Public Employees'
Retirement System under the provisions

SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of
original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage
and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Coun-
cil of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is
passed and adopted. Said City Clerk shall also immediately after the
passage and adoption of this resolution, cause a copy thereof, duly certi-
