CC RESOLUTION 22431115 -5 RESOLUTION NO. 2243 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING WITH CERTAIN CONDITIONS PRECISE (SPECIFIC) PLAN NO. 6. WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 34, (The Com- prehensive Zoning Law) of "The Code of the City of E1 Segundo, California, 1958," and the laws of the State of California, applicable to such matters, North American Rockwell Corporation has filed its petition for the adoption of Precise (Specific) Plan No. 6; and WHEREAS, said Plan is for the property, described as: That portion of Lot 1 of Map of C. C. Huntts Subdivi- sion in Section 12, in Township 3 South, Range 15 West, San Bernardino Meridian, in the Sausal Redondo Rancho, in the City of E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 36, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, included within the following described lines: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of said Section 12, with the northerly prolongation of the east- erly line of Tract No. 15455, as shown on map recorded in Book 336, Pages 42 and 43 of Maps in said Recorder's office; thence along said prolongation, said easterly line, and alonqI the southerly prolongation of said line, South 0° 00t 48' West 660. 34 feet to the northerly line of El Segundo, Sheet 5, as shown on map recorded in Book 20, Pages 114 and 115 of said Maps; thence along said north- erly line, South 80 58t 50" East 700. 00 feet; thence parallel with said easterly line of Tract No.15455, North 00 00t 48" East 660.42 feet to said north line of Section 12; thence along said north line, North 890 59t 15" West 700. 00 feet to the true point of beginning; and said plan was submitted to the Planning Commission of the City of El Segundo, and after hearings duly and regularly held, was approved and recommended for adoption by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Segundo has now acquired jurisdiction to adopt this resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That said Precise (Specific) Plan No. 6 herein- above referred to as approved by the Planning Commission of the City of 10546 El Segundo in its Resolution No. 696, be and the same is hereby approved and adopted upon the following conditions: (1) That no portion of any building shall be located nearer than twenty feet to the westerly property line. (2) That the applicant dedicate an additional five feet on the north side of Walnut Avenue for street widening purposes, said proposed right -of -way is described as: The northerly 5. 00 feet of the southerly 30. 00 feet of the westerly 700. 00 feet of the easterly 1025. 88 feet of Lot 1, C. C. Huntts Subdivision, as recorded in Book 36, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, and that the applicant, at its expense, shall perform all work (excluding all work required by the relocation of public utilities and all City of El Segundo subsurface utilities) and provide all materials required for paving said five foot strip to City specifications, from its westerly property line to its easterly property line. This requirement is imposed due to the increased traffic and circulation problems that will result from construction of applicantts improvement, and will result in a minimum width of paving of twenty -five feet from the center line of Walnut Avenue to the face of the curb. The Director of Building Safety shall not issue a building permit pursuant to this Precise Plan No. 6 until applicant has dedicated the re- quired right -of -way and either improved the right -of -way or posted a bond or cash deposit in the amount of $5, 500. 00 in the form or manner approved by the City Attorney to guarantee that said improvement will be completed within a time to be fixed by the Director of Planning. (3) That all utilities providing services to the new building normally placed above ground, including without limitation electrical ser- vice lines and telephone service lines, shall be placed underground, except that if it is not possible to place said lines underground, overhead services may be approved by the City Council. (4) That construction shall commence within eighteen months from date of approval of application by the City Council. This request becomes null and void if construction has not commenced within that time. SECTION 2. That when the construction of said Precise (Speci- fic) Plan No. 6 has been completed strictly in accordance with the require- -2- .1054. ments of this resolution, the Director of Planning shall report said com- pletion to the City Council whereupon the City Council shall refer this resolution to the City Attorney for the preparation of an ordinance rezoning and reclassifying said property in the manner hereinafter set forth: The southerly 100 feet of the westerly 700 feet of Lot 1, C. C. Hunt's Subdivision, as recorded in Book 36, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, from Zone P (Automobile Parking) to Zone C -2 (General Commercial); and the remainder of the westerly 700 feet of Lot 1, C. C. Hunt's Subdivision, as recorded in Book 36, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, from Zone C -1 (Service Commercial) to Zone C -2 (General Commercial). SECTION 3. That the applicant is informed that the City Coun- cil does not, by this action, intend to impair its authority to modify the traffic and circulation restrictions in the neighborhood of applicant's prop- erty if the need arises to make such modification. SECTION 4. That the applicant should be aware and is hereby notified that the City Planning Department has under consideration a proposal to develop, at some future date, a north/ south street along an alignment of the applicant's westerly property line between Imperial Ave- nue and Walnut Avenue. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to endorse said plan as hereby approved and adopted by the City Council. Said plan is on file in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection and by this reference incorporated in this resolution and made a part hereof. SECTION 6. That this resolution shall become effective upon adoption. SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in -3- the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
