CC RESOLUTION 2102RESOLUTION NO. 2102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ASCERTAIN- ING AND DETERMINING PREVAILING RATES OF WAGES TO BE PAID ON PUBLIC WORKS IN THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AND RE- PEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2058. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, it is necessary that the City Council of the City of El Segundo ascertain and determine the general prevailing rates of wages on public works; and by the provisions of said Code, it is mandatory upon the awarding body of any public improve- ment to ascertain and determine the general prevailing rates of per diem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the con- tracts awarded in said city for public works, and also the general pre- vailing rates for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman and mechanic; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of El Segundo has ascertained and does hereby determine that the general prevailing rates of per diem wages in the City of El Segundo (the locality in which the work is to be performed) in the matter of public works for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the con- tracts for said works, and also the general prevailing rates for legal holidays and overtime work for each craft or type of workman or mechanic, to be in accordance with the "1964 A WAGE SCALES FOR THE SIX BASIC TRADES," in accordance with the terms of the South- ern California Master Labor Agreement for the construction industry and the "SUB - TRADES HOURLY WAGE RATES OF BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES UNIONS, " affiliated with the Los Angeles Building and Construction Trades Council, which are hereunto attached, designated respectively as "Exhibit A' and "Exhibit B. " and are hereby referred to and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof. "1- Provided that one and one -half (1 -1/2) times the said pre- vailing rate of wage shall be paid for any time more than eight hours during any one calendar day where such work is required in case of extraordinary emergency caused by fire, flood or danger to life or property; and rates of pay for Saturdays, Sunday, and holidays shall be as recognized in the collective bargaining agreement applicable to the particular craft, classification or type of workman employed on the project. That Resolution No. 2058, passed and adopted on the 23rd day of September, 1963, shall be and the same is hereby repealed. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in the re- cords of the proceedings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
