RESOLUTION NO. 2100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING
TO BRILES MANUFACTURING A PERMIT FOR
THAT CERTAIN OIL WELL IN SAID CITY DESIGNA-
TED AND KNOWN AS "BLOCK NO. 12 ", SUBJECT
TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS HEREIN PROVIDED.

WHEREAS, Paul R. Briles /and Franklin /Briles,/ doing business
as Briles Manufacturing, hereinafter referred to as "Briles ", have re-
quested that the City Council of the City of El Segundo consent to the assign-
ment to them of that certain oil well permit, the issuance of which was
originally authorized by Resolution No. 402 of said Council, adopted Sep-
tember 15, 1937, (which is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said City, and by this reference, made a part hereof); and
WHEREAS, in support of Brilest request to transfer said permit
to operate said well, it has delivered to the City Clerk its Oil Well Bond
in the sum of $2, 000; and
WHEREAS, after consideration of said request the City Coun-
cil of said City is disposed to grant the same subject to the terms and
conditions, regulations and requirements hreinafter set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETER-
MINE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said permit for said oil well shall be subject
to all of the terms and conditions of Chapter 20 of "The Code of the City
of El Segundo, California, 1958 ", and the requirements of said Resolu-
tion No. 402, and this permit shall become effective upon the execution
by Briles of the consent and agreement hereinbelow provided for its
signature.
SECTION 2. This permit pertains to that certain oil well
known as "Block No. 1211, affecting Lots 119, 120 and 121 in Block 123,
El Segundo.
SECTION 3. That Briles is granted permission to dispose of
the waste water from said well by discharging the same into the public

sewer system of the City, subject to the following conditions:
A. That said company construct, operate, and maintain a separa-
tor which will reduce the oil content of the waste water to less
than 25 parts per million, such separator to be approved by the
City Engineer of the City of El Segundo and such installation to
be made at the sole expense of said Company.
S. That the installation and maintenance of all sewer lines and appur-
tenances to accomplish a connection from said Company's opera-
tion to the public sewer system be made at the sole expense of
said Company, and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer of the
City of El Segundo.
C. That the annual fee for such permit be stablished at $50. 00
payable in advance.
D. That the City Council reserves unto itself the right to change the
fee so required, and to add such other conditions to the continu-
ance of the permit as may from time to time seem reasonable
and proper.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original
resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption
thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in
the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

and signed by the Mayor of said City, and attested by the City
Clerk of said City, all at a regular meeting of the said Council
held on the 14th day of September , 1964 ,
