RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2042
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF
GRAND AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pur-
suant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Part 3
of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation and abandonment
of a certain portion of Grand Avenue within said city, which is more parti-
cularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot 43, Tract No. 2667, as per map recorded
in Book 27, Page 78 of Maps, in the office of the county re-
corder of Los Angeles County, California, and described as
follows:
Beginning at the center line intersection of Grand Avenue
(50 feet wide) and Concord Street (50 feet wide, as shownon
map of said Tract No. 2667); thence northerly 00 °06152" west-
erly along the center line of Concord Street 75. 18 feet to a
point; thence southerly 89 °52133" westerly 25. 00 feet to the
northeast corner of said Lot 43 also being the true point of
beginning; thence southerly 0 °06152" easterly along the east-
erly line of said Lot 43, 4. 91 feet to a point; thence southerly
72 °53125" westerly 103. 52 feet to a point; thence southerly
78 °37152" westerly 44. 87 feet to a point in the westerly line of
said Lot 43; thence northerly 0 °06152" westerly along the west-
erly line of said Lot 43, 43. 90 feet to the northwest corner of
said Lot 43; thence northerly 89 °52133" easterly along the north-
erly line of said Lot 43, 143. 00 feet to the northeast corner of
said Lot 43, the true point of beginning.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of said por-
tion of Grand Avenue, reference is hereby made to map, entitled "MAP SHOW-
ING PORTION OF GRAND AVE. PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESO-
LUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2042 , " on file and open to public inspec-
tion in the office of the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo, California, in
the City Hall of said city.
SECTION 2. That the hour of 7 :00 P. M. , on Monday, July 8, 1963,
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350 Main Street, in said city, be and
the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all per-

sons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion
of said public street may appear before said City Council and be heard
and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 3. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
El Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, " to be posted as required by the said "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California; and the City Council of said City hereby elects
to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published
once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose
by the said City Council.
