RESOLUTION NO. 2041
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING THE FINAL MAP OF TRACT
NO. 23195 LOCATED WITHIN SAID CITY, CON-
DITIONED THAT A CERTAIN BOND OR CASH
DEPOSIT IN THE PRINCIPAL SUM OF $40, 000
BE MADE AND FURNISHED FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN SAID
TRACT.
WHEREAS, a certain final map of Tract No. 23195, situ-
ated within the City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, is now presented to the City Council of said City for its
approval; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said final map of said tract was
heretofore referred to and approved by both the City Engineer and by
the Planning Commission of said City; and
WHEREAS, said map, as presently presented and so ap-
proved, is satisfactory to this Council in all particulars;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That subject to the making, furnishing and
filing of the cash deposit or the surety bond, hereinafter referred to,
approved as to form by the City Attorney and by the Mayor as to surety,
the said map of said Tract No. 23195 is hereby approved by this Coun-
cil; and the City Clerk, upon receipt of such bond or cash deposit so
approved, is hereby authorized and directed to endorse a memorandum
of such approval of this City Council upon said maps.
SECTION 2. That before the approval herein above granted
becomes effective, and before the City Clerk endorses such memorandum
of approval upon said maps, the present owners of the real property com-
prised within the boundaries of said tract shall, as principals, make, exe-
cute, and file with the City Clerk either a cash deposit or a good and suffi-
cient surety bond in form approved by the City Attorney, and approved by
the Mayor as to surety, which said cash deposit or bond shall be in the

full principal sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40, 000. 00), and shall
be substantially conditioned that if the said principals shall, at their
own cost and expense, and within the period of one year immediately
following the date of said bond or cash deposit, have well and truly
constructed, completed, and fully paid for each and all of the follow-
ing improvements within said tract, in accordance with the plans and
specifications relating thereto, hereinafter referred to, and to the full
satisfaction and approval of the City Engineer, the Fire Chief and the
Director of Recreation and Parks of said City, to wit:
1. That the subdivider be required to construct
streets, curbs, sidewalks and storm drain facilities.
2. That the subdivider install a sewer system to
serve those properties involved.
3. That the subdivider install cast iron water lines.
4. That the subdivider install a steel pole street
lighting system as approved by the City Engineer.
5. That the subdivider agrees to furnish to the City
of E1 Segundo any necessary easements for the proper loca-
tions of the above- mentioned facilities.
6. That the grading and construction of the entire
tract be approved by the City Engineer in order that ade-
quate drainage of this area may be obtained.
7. That all horizontal and vertical survey control con-
form to the requirements of the City Engineer's office.
B. That all slopes located within the confines of the
tract be so treated as to effectively control erosion, sub-
ject to the approval of the City Engineer.
9. That fire hydrants be installed as specified by the
Fire Chief regarding type, size and location.
10. That the subdivider plant trees in the parkway at
the locations and of a type as recommended by the Park Super-
intendent.

11. Fully pay and discharge all engineering and in-
spection services of any nature, furnished, performed or pro-
vided in connection with said plans, specifications or improve-
ments and the performance of the work thereunder,
then said obligation shall be void, otherwise to remain in full force, vir-
ture and effect.
Said bond by its terms shall be made to inure to the benefit of
the said City of El Segundo and to the benefit of any and all persons, firms,
associations and corporations (other than said principals) who may at any
time within the period of two years from the date of said bond be or become
the owner or owners of, or substantially interested in, any parcel or par-
cels of real property located within said tract, and with right by or on
behalf of each or any of said beneficiaries to bring independent action on,
and to recover under, said bond, not exceeding in the aggregate, however,
the said prinicpal sum of $40, 000. 00.
SECTION 3. That the City Council of the City of El Segundo,
California, does hereby accept on behalf of said City and of the public,
all of the various public streets, avenues, alleys, ways, places, ease-
ments, rights of way and property shown upon said final map of said Tract
No. 23195, and which are dedicated to, or offered for dedication to, public
use or ownership in and upon said map and in the endorsements showing
such dedication or offer of dedication appearing thereon.
SECTION 4. That a copy of the said final map of said Tract
No. 23195 be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City and
as so on file, be referred to and made a part hereof.
SECTION 5. That said City Council does hereby further ap-
prove each and all of the respective plans and specifications herein above
referred to in this resolution and which are on file in the respective offices
of the respective officials of said City, as herein above stated.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same to be
entered in the book of resolutions of the said City of El Segundo; and shall

make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of
the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the
meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
