A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE FINAL MAPS OF TRACTS NOS. 26556 AND
26557 LOCATED WITHIN SAID CITY, CONDITIONED
THAT A CERTAIN BOND OR CASH DEPOSIT IN THE
PRINCIPAL SUM OF $625, 000. 00 BE MADE AND
FURNISHED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN SAID TRACTS.
WHEREAS, certain final maps of Tracts Nos. 26556 and
26557, situated within the City of El Segundo, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, are now presented to the City Council of said City
for its approval; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said final maps of said tracts
were heretofore referred to and approved by both the City Engineer
and by the Planning Commission of said City; and
WHEREAS, said final maps, as presently presented and
as so approved, are satisfactory to this Council in all particulars;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That subject to the making, furnishing and
filing of the cash deposit or the surety bond, hereinafter referred to,
approved as to form by the City Attorney and by the Mayor as to surety,
the said maps of said Tracts Nos. 26556 and 26557 are hereby approved
by this Council; and the City Clerk, upon receipt of such bond or cash
deposit so approved, is hereby authorized and directed to endorse a
memorandum of such approval of this City Council upon said maps.
SECTION 2. That before the approval herein above granted
becomes effective, and before the City Clerk endorses such memorandum
of approval upon said maps, the present owners of the real property com-
prised within the boundaries of said tracts shall, as principals, make,
execute, and file with the City Clerk either a cash deposit or a good and
sufficient surety bond in form approved by the City Attorney, and approved
by the Mayor as to surety, which said cash deposit or bond shall be in the

full principal sum of Six Hundred, Twenty -five Thousand Dollars
($625, 000. 00), and shall be substantially conditioned that if the said
principals shall, at their own cost and expense, and within the period
of one year immediately following the date of said bond or cash deposit,
have well and truly constructed, completed, and fully paid for each and
all of the following improvements within said tracts, in accordance with
the plans and specifications relating thereto, hereinafter referred to,
and to the full satisfaction and approval of the Director of Public Works
and Street Superintendent of said City, to wit:
1. The construction and completion of the general
grading, the plans of which consist of twelve (12) sheets; the
water distribution system, the plans of which consist of eight
(8) sheets; the streets, the plans of which consist of ten (10)
sheets; the storm drains, the plans of which consist of eight
(8) sheets; and the sanitary sewer system, consisting of
seven (7) sheets; and all of the other work and improvements
shown, as they apply in each instance, delineated and indi-
cated upon those certain plans entitled "City of El Segundo
Engineering Department Job No. 61 -7 - Plans for Tracts
Nos. 26556 and 26557, " approved by Robert L. Webb, Jr. ,
City Engineer of the City of E1 Segundo, on June 19, 1961,
which said plans were also approved by the City Council of
the City of E1 Segundo on the 14th day of August, 1961, and
which said Plans for Tracts Nos. 26556 and 26557 are now
on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of El
Segundo, in the City Hall of said City, open to public inspection,
and are hereby referred to and by this reference expressly incor-
porated herein and made a part hereof; and to so construct and
complete all of said work and improvements in full and strict
compliance with the applicable provisions of specifications
entitled "Quinton Engineers, Ltd., Specifications No. 61331, "
as they apply in each instance, and heretofore approved by the

City Council of said City, which said specifications are
referred to on said Plans and are now on file in the office
of the City Engineer of said City in the City Hall thereof,
open to public inspection and are hereby referred to and
by this reference expressly incorporated herein and made
a part hereof; and to so construct and complete said work
and improvements in full and strict compliance (except as
otherwise shown on said plans and in said specifications)
with the applicable provisions of the standards and speci-
fications of the Los Angeles County Road Department;
Los Angeles County Sanitation District; and the Los Angeles
County Flood Control District, and which standards and
specifications are referred to on said plans, and are on
file in the respective offices of the County of Los Angeles,
and are hereby referred to and by this reference expressly
incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
2. Fully pay and discharge all engineering and in-
spection costs, fees and charges for engineering and in-
spection services of any nature, furnished, performed or
provided in connection with said plans, specifications or
improvements and the performance of the work thereunder,
then said obligation shall be void, otherwise to remain in full force,
virtue and effect.
Said bond by its terms shall be made to inure to the benefit
of the said City of El Segundo and to the benefit of any and all persons,
firms, associations and corporations (other than said principals) who
may at any time within the period of one year from the date of said
bond be or become the owner or owners of, or substantially interested
in, any parcel or parcels of real property located within said tracts, and
with right by or on behalf of each or any of said beneficiaries to bring
independent action on, and to recover under, said bond, not exceeding
in the aggregate, however, the said principal sum of $625, 000. 00.

SECTION 3. That the City Council of the City of El Se-
gundo, California, does hereby accept on behalf of said City and of the
public, all of the various public streets, avenues, alleys, ways, places,
easements, rights of way and property shown upon said final maps of
said Tracts Nos. 26556 and 26557, and which are dedicated to, or
offered for dedication to, public use or ownership in and upon said
maps and in the endorsements showing such dedication or offer of dedi-
cation appearing thereon.
SECTION 4. Said City Council does hereby further approve
each and all of the respective plans and specifications herein above
referred to in this resolution and which are on file in the respective
offices of the respective officials of said City, as herein above stated.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same
to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said City of El Segundo;
and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the
records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes
of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
