RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DES-
CRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1937•
The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911",
being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows:
That the public interest and convenience require the
work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said
City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and
improvements to be made in said city, to wit:
The grading, paving with asphaltic concrete, constrruc-
tion of Portland Cement concrete curb, construction of Portland
Cement concrete sidewalk, reconstruction of driveways, reconstruc-
tion of manhole, removal of certain driveways and asphaltic con-
crete pavement, the lowering of a certain steel pipeline in.Oak
Avenue west of Hillcrest Street, all as more particularly des-
cribed in Resolution of Intention No. 1937, passed and adopted
by the City Council of said city on the 10th day of October,
1960, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city.
For further particulars, reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 1937 and to the plans, profiles
and drawings No. 60 -6, Sheet 2, and Standard Street Drawing No.
550000, all on file in the office of the City Engineer of said
City of E1 Segundo, and to the specifications for the said work
heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said city and all of said plans, pro-
files, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by the City
Council of said city are incorporated herein and made a part here-
of, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular
description of said work.

Said City Council has determined and declared that the
contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in
the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses
of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular descrip-
tion of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution
of Intention No. 1937.
Said City Council has determined and declared that serial
bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum
and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second
day of January next succeeding the next September 1st following
their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by
the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", being Part 5, Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent
each assessment of fifty dollars C50.00) or more remaining unpaid
for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant.
Said City Council has determined and declared in said
Resolution of Intention No. 1937 that the City will pay out of
its General Fund an estimated amount of $2,356.00 toward the costs
and expenses for certain removal of driveways, the reconstruction
of driveways and appurtenant work in connection therewith, the
exact amount of said contribution to be determined upon receipt
of bids setting forth the unit prices for such removal, resurfac-
ing, and construction. The liability and obligation to pay such
sum as provided in said Resolution of Intention shall accrue and
become fixed upon the date of confirmation of the assessment for
said improvement.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911 ", Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Code.
The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post con-

spicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of
the City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code,
a Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work
herein ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to pub-
lish twice in the "El Segundo Herald, a bi- weekly newspaper
published and circulated in said city and hereby designated by
the said City Council for that purpose, a notice inviting such
proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the
specifications on file.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adop-
tion of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of
Resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the adop-
tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Coun-
cil of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same
is passed and adopted.
