CC RESOLUTION 1906Cj,! c RESOLUTION NO. 1906 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL, 1960. WHEREAS, Section 36503 of the Government Code requires that a general municipal election be held in general law cities on the second Tuesday in April of each even - numbered year; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That said general municipal election be held and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of E1 Segundo on April 12, 1960. SECTION 2. That the polls for said election shall be opened and shall otclock P except as the State at seven o'clock A.M. of remain open continuously .M. of the same day, when provided in Section 5734 of California. SECTION 3. That for the the day of said election from said time until seven said polls shall be closed, of the Elections Code of purpose of holding said general municipal election there shall be and are hereby established ten (10) voting precincts designated as hereinafter stated. Each such voting precinct shall consist of either regu- lar election precincts in the City of E1 Segundo (of the names and numbers hereinafter stated) established for the holding of State and County elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution or a consolida- tion of some or all of such precincts. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named, being compe- tent and qualified electors and residents of said city and of - 1 - their respective voting precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner pro- vided by law. Voting Precinct 1,-comprising State and County precinct numbers 1 and 22: Polling Place: Residence located at 627 West Oak Avenue, E1 Segundo. That except as otherwise provided in this resolution, the election called hereby shall be held and con- ducted as provided by Chapter 2, Part 2, Division 11 of the Elections Code, and in all respects not otherwise provided for in said Chapter, said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code governing elections generally, so far as they may be applicable. SECTION 5. That the compensation which shall be paid to each election officer and the rental to be paid to each owner as rental for each polling place is as follows: Inspector: $18.00 Judge: $15.00 Clerks: $15.00 Polling Places: $20.00 SECTION 6. That the City Council of said city shall meet at its usual place of meeting on April 19, 1960 at 2 :00 o'clock P.M. of said day and proceed to canvass the election - 4 - returns and declare the result of said election. SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall give the notices required by law for the holding of said general muni- cipal election. SECTION 8. This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
