CC RESOLUTION 1791RESOLUTION. NO. 1791 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING, CALLING AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 8TH DAY OF APRIL, 1958. WHEREAS, Section 36503 of the Government Code requires that a general municipal election be held in general law cities on the second Tuesday in April of each even numbered year; 9050 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE- GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That said general municipal election be held and the same is hereby called to be held in the City of E1 Segundo on April S, 1958. SECTION 2. That the polls for said election shall be opened at seven o'clock A. M. of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P. M. of the same day, when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 5734 of the Elections Code of the State of California. SECTION 3. That for the purpose of holding said gener- al municipal election there shall be and are hereby established ten (10) voting precincts designated as hereinafter stated. Each such voting precinct shall consist of either regular elec- tion precincts in the City of E1 Segundo (of the names and num- bers hereinafter stated) established for the holding of State and County elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution or a consolidation of some or all of such precincts. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter desig- nated; and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said city and of their respective voting precincts, are hereby appointed officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner pro- vided by law. - 1 - 9055 Voting Precinct 1 comprising State and County Precincts 1 and 22; Polling Place: Residence located at 618 West Oak Avenue, E1 Segundo; Inspector: Mrs. Olive Ethel Ayer Judge: Mr. Edward H. That except as otherwise provided in this resolution, the election called hereby shall be held and conducted as provided by Chapter 2, Part 2, Division 11 of the Elections Code, and in all respects not otherwise provided for in said Chap- ter, said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code governing elections generally, so far as they may be applicable. SECTION 5. That the compensation which shall be paid to each election officer and the rental to be paid to each owner as rental for each polling place is as follows: Inspector: $18.00 Judge: 415.00 Clerks: :;15.00 Polling Places: $20.00 SECTION 6. That the City Council of said city shall meet at its usual place of meeting on April 15, 1958, at - 4 - %YM4 o'clock , of said dan and proceed to canvass the election returns and declare the result of said election. SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same was passed and adopted.
