CC RESOLUTION 1771&910 *9 RESOLUTION NO. 1771 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VA- CATION (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EXCEP- TION OF CERTAIN EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY) OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY, AS CONTEMPLATED BY RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1763 OF SAID CITY COUNCIL. The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, find, de- termine and order as follows: SECTION 1. Said City Council, after public hearing duly and regularly called, noticed and held, finds and determines from all the evidence submitted, that that certain portion of Coast Boulevard within said City described in Resolution of Intention No. 1763 of said Council, adopted on the 25th day of November, 1957, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street pur- poses. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience re- quire, and it is hereby ordered, subject to the reservation and exception and right of way hereinafter set forth, that the follow- ing portion of Coast Boulevard, to wit: Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Parcel 2, as per easement described in Book 43391, Page 354 of Of- ficial Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence North 25° 301 10" West 461.72 feet more or less to a point; thence along a curve to the right, tangent to the last named course with a radius of 5,056.76 feet for an arc distance of 19$.58 feet to a point; thence North 23° 151 10" West 100 feet to a point in the East- erly line of existing Coast Boulevard as set forth in document recorded in Book 6388, Page 49 of Deeds of said Los Angeles County, California; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said existing Coast Boulevard to the point of beginning, - 1 - 8979 be, and the same is, hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, all as contemplated by Resolution of In- tention No. 1763 of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, adopted on the 25th day of November, 1957. Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 1763 and to the map or plan entitled "MAP SHOWING PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTEN- TION NO. 1763 ", referred to therein, both of which are on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, and both of which, by this reference, are incorporated herein and made a part hereof for further partic- ulars. SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby determine that public convenience and necessity require the reservation of an easement and right of way and it does hereby reserve and except from the vacation a permanent easement and right of way for drain- age and catch basin purposes to the following property; Beginning at the most northerly corner of Parcel 2 as per easement described in Book 43391, Page 354 of Of- ficial Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence North 25° 30+ 10" West 147.00 feet more or less to the true point of beginning; thence North 25° 301 10" West 5.00 feet to a point, thence North 640 29' 50" East 5.97 feet to a point in the existing easterly line of Coast Boulevard as set forth in document recorded in Book 63$8, Page 49 of Deeds, thence South 23° 15t 10" East 5.00 feet along said easterly line of Coast Boule- vard to a point; thence South 64° 29' 50" West 5.77 feet to the true point of beginning, reserving unto the City the right at any time or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew catch basin, appurtenances and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any part, or portion thereof proposed to be vacated hereby. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records and proceedings - 2 - 897 T of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, State of California.
