CC RESOLUTION 1767I RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 1767 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK-DE- SCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1756 0956 The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 191111, be- ing Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows: That the public interest and convenience require the work hereinafter mentioned to be done and, therefore, the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and im- provements to be made in said city, to wit: The grading, paving with asphaltic concrete, and re- surfacing, construction of cement concrete curb, driveways, vitri- fied clay pipe sanitary sewers, house connection sewers, manholes and appurtenant work in connection therewith in Center Street be- tween Franklin Avenue and E1 Segundo Boulevard, all as more par- ticularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 1756, passed and adopted by the City Council of said city on the 28th day of October, 1957, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 1756 and to the plans, profiles and drawings No. 57 -3, Sheets 2 and 3, and Standard Street Drawing No. 550000, on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City of E1 Segundo, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city and all of said plans, pro- files, drawings and specifications heretofore approved by the City Council of said city are incorporated herein and made a part here- of, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. - 1 - 6957 Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned was, in the opinion of said City Council, of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular de- scription of said district, reference is hereby made to said Reso- lution of Intention No. 1756. Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum and extending cver a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th following their date, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the "Improvement Act of 191111, being Part 5, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent each assessment of fifty dollars 050.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant. All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 191111, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code. The Clerk of said city is hereby directed to post con- spicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a No- tice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish twice in the "El Segundo Herald ", a weekly newspaper published and cir- culated in said city and hereby designated by the said City Coun- cil for that purpose, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book of Resolutions - 2 - of said city, and shall make a minute of the adoption thereof in the records of the proceedin,as of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
