RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1763
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO ORDER THE VACATION (SUBJECT TO THE
RESERVATION AND EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENT
AND RIGHT OF WAY) OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF
COAST BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY.

The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941",
being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and
order as follows:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council
of the City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation (sub-
ject to the reservation and exception of easement and right of way
as set forth hereinafter) of a certain portion of Coast Boulevard
within said City, which is more particularly described as follows,
to wit:
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Parcel 2,
as per easement described in Book 43391, Page 354
of Official Records of Los Angeles County, California;
thence North 25° 30' 10" West 461.72 feet more or less
to a point; thence along a curve to the right, tangent
to the last named course with a radius of 5,056.7c
feet for an arc distance of 198.58 feet to a point;
thence North 23° 15' 1011 West 100 feet to a point in
the Easterly line of existing Coast Boulevard as set
forth in document recorded in Book 63$8, Page 49 of
Deeds of said Los Angeles County, California; thence
Southerly along the Easterly line of said existing
Coast Boulevard to the point of be.-inning.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of
said portion of said Coast Boulevard, reference is hereby made to
map, entitled "MAP SHOWING PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD PROPOSED TO
BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1763 ", on file and
open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of El Segundo, California, in the City Hall of said City.

SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby determine that
public convenience and necessity require the reservation of an
easement and right of way and it does hereby reserve and except
from the vacation a permanent easement and right of way for drain-
age and catch basin purposes to the following property;
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Parcel 2 as
per easement described in Book 43391, Page 354 of Offici-
al Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence
North 25° 30' 10" West 147.00 feet more or less to the
true point of beginning; thence North 25° 30' 10" West
5.00 feet to a point, thence North 64° 29' 50" East 5.97
feet to a point in the existing easterly line of Coast
Boulevard as set forth in document recorded in Book
�38$, Page 49 of Deeds, thence South 23° 15' 10" East
5.00 feet along said easterly line of Coast Boulevard
to a point; thence South 64° 29' S0" '.hest 5.77 feet
to the true point of beginning,
reserving unto the City the right at any time or from time to
time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,remove and renew
catch basin, appurtenances and appurtenant structures in, upon,
over and across any part, or portion thereof proposed to be va-
cated hereby.
SECTION 3. That the hour of 7;00 P. M., on Monday,
December 23, 1957, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 350
Main Street, in said City, be and the same is hereby fixed as the
time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portion of said public
street may appear before said City Council and be heard and offer
testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets of the
City of E1 Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to
cause "NOTICE OF STREET VACATION (PORTIOTd OF COAST BOULEVARD) AND
OF PUBLIC HEARINTG THEREON ", to be posted as required by the said
"Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the City
Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions
of said Act.

SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same
to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper
of general circulation, published and circulated in said City and
hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.

bers of the City Council of the said City is five; that the fore -
going resolution, being Resolution of Intention No. 1765 , was
passed and adopted by the said City Council, approved and signed
by the Mayor of said City, and attested by the City Clerk of said
City, all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the
25th day of November, 1957, and that the same was so passed and
adopted by the following; vote:
AYES: Councilmen Frederick, Gordon, 'Meschuk and
Mayor Benfield;
NOES: Councilmen
ABSENT: Councilman Baker.
