A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING CANCEL-
LATION OF TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS ON CERTAIN
PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY SAID CITY FOR PUBLIC
STREET PURPOSES, NAMELY THE DEDICATION OF
WALNUT AVENUE AND SELBY STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of El Segundo, California, did here-
tofore acquire the following described unimproved property within
said City for public street uses and purposes, namely the dedica-
tion. of Walnut Avenue and Selby Street within said City, as here-
inafter set forth by the following deed, to wit:
A deed from SANTA FE LAND IMPROVEMENT COMPANY, a Cali-
fornia corporation, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corpor-
ation, to the following described parcels:
Two parcels of land in the City of El Segundo, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, being a portion of
that certain 20.057 acre Parcel No. 5 as shown on Record
of Survey Map of a portion of the North Half of Section
7, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, in the Rancho Sausal
Redondo, which map is filed in Book 66, Page 5, of Re-
cords of Surveys of said County, and being more particu-
larly described as follows:
PARCEL "A"
Beginning at a point in the westerly boundary of said
Parcel No. 5 distant northerly along said westerly boun-
dary 362.22 feet from the southwest corner of said Par-
cel No. 5, said westerly boundary also being the easterly
line of Sepulveda Boulevard (100 feet wide); thence north-
easterly along the arc of a curve tangent to the westerly
boundary of said Parcel No. 5, concave southeasterly and
having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of
89° 59' 40" a distance of 31.41 feet to a point of tan-
gency in a line that is parallel with and distant norther-
ly 352.22 feet, measured at right angles, from the southerly
boundary of said Parcel No. 5; thence North 89° 59' 20" East
along; said parallel line 616.56 feet, more or less, to a
point in a line that is parallel with and distant westerly
220.00 feet measured at right angles from the easterly
boundary of said Parcel No. 5; said easterly boundary of
Parcel No. 5 being the westerly boundary of that certain
property described in deed to Nash - Kelvinator Corporation,
recorded on March 1, 1949, as Document No. 1435 in Book
29475, page 241, Official Records of said County; thence

North 01 001 23" West along last said parallel line 60.00
feet to a point in a line that is parallel with and dis-
tant northerly 60.00 feet measured at right angles from
the line hereinabove described as having a bearing of
North 89° 59+ 2011 East and a length of 916.56 feet, last
said point being hereinafter referred to as Point "A";
thence South 89° 591 20" West along last said parallel
line 613.09 feet; thence northwesterly along the arc of
a curve tangent to last described course, concave north-
easterly and having a radius of 20.00 feet through a
central angle of 94° 201 1611 a distance of 32.93 feet to
point of tangency in the westerly boundary of said Parcel
No. 5; thence South 4° 191 36" West along the westerly
boundary of said Parcel No. 5, a distance of 46.65 feet,
more or less, to an angle point in the westerly boundary
of said Parcel No. 5; thence South 0° 00' 20" East alon",
the westerly boundary of said Parcel No. 5 a distance of
55.00 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; con -
taininF. an area of 0.8806 of an acre, more or less.
PARCEL "B"
Beginning at Point "A" referred to in the hereinabove
described Parcel "A", thence North 01 001 23" West, paral-
lel with and distant westerly 220.00 feet, measured at
right angles, from the easterly boundary of said Parcel
No. 5, said easterly boundary of Parcel No. 5 being the
westerly boundary of that certain property described in
deed to Nash- Kelvinator Corporation, recorded on March 1,
1949 as Document No. 1435 in Book 29478, page 241, Offici-
al Records of said County, a distance of 575.39 feet;
thence northeasterly along the arc of a curve tangent to
last described course, concave southeasterly and having
a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 89° 59'
43 #, a distance of 31.42 feet to a point of tangency in
the northerly boundary of said Parcel No. 5, said norther-
ly boundary being the southerly boundary of Imperial High-
way (90 feet wide); thence South 89° 59' 20" West along
the northerly boundary of said Parcel No. 5 a distance of
100.00 feet; thence southeasterly along the arc of a curve
tangent to last described course, concave southwesterly
and having a radius of 20.00 feet through a central angle
of 90° 001 17" a distance of 31.42 feet to point of tan-
gency in a line that is parallel with and distant westerly
60.00 feet measured at right angles from the line herein-
above described as having a bearing of North 0° 00' 23"
West and a length of 575.39 feet; thence South 0° 001 2311
East along; last said parallel line 555.39 feet; thence
southwesterly along the arc of a curve tangent to last de-
scribed course, concave northwesterly and having a radius
of 20.00 feot through a central angle of $9° 59' 43t1 a dis-
tance of 31.42 feet to point of tangency in the northerly
boundary of the hereinabove described Parcel "A1'; thence
North 89° 591 2011 East along the northerly boundary of said
Parcel "A" 80.00 feet, more or less, to the point of begin-
ning; containing an area of 0.8201 of an acre, more or less;
which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Council, on
behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of January 14, 1957,
and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles

County, California, in Book 53409 at Page 217 of Official Records
on file in said office, on January 18, 1957;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE-
GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, FIND
AND ORDER AS FOLLONS:
FIRST: That said City does hereby certify that the said
above described real property has, since its said acquisition by
said City, been reserved and used for public street purposes here -
inabove set forth, and that said parcels of property are now being
held and used, and will continue to be held and used, for said
public street purposes;
SECOND: That the said above described property was, at
the time of acquisition thereof, and still is within the corporate
limits of said City of El Segundo;
THIRD: That the said above described real property is
essential to the said City for said public street purposes;
FOURTH: That the City Council of said City of El Segundo
does hereby petition and request the Honorable Board of Supervisors
of Los Angeles County to order the cancellation of all taxes and
all assessment liens legally cancellable by the proper County of-
ficials pursuant to Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code
of the State of California, on the said above described parcels of
real property, the whole of which, as above stated, is devoted to
public street uses and purposes hereinabove set forth in the pre-
amble to this resolution;and
FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo,
California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to im-
mediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be forwarded
to said Honorable Board of Supervisors of said Los Angeles County
as the petition and request of the City of El Segundo and of the

City Council of said City for the cancellation of all of said taxes
and all of said assessment liens so legally cancellable.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of
the City Council of the said City is five; that the foregoing re-
solution, being Resolution No. 1721, was passed and adopted by the
said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said City,
and attested by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular meet -
ing of the said Council held on the 13th day of May, 1957, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
