CC RESOLUTION 1716RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1716 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS IN- TENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A RIGHT TO ACCEPT OFFER OF DEDICATION OF PUBLIC STREET IN LOTS 42 AND 43, TRACT 12391, WITHIN SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of Section 11616 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California and the "Street Va- cation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby re- solve, declare, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of El Segundo, California, to order the vacation and abandonment of a right to accept offer of dedication as a public street, the following described property within the said City, to wit: That portion of Lots 42 and 43, Tract 12391, as recorded on Page 29 of Book 244 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles Coun- ty, California, within the following described boundary: Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot 43; thence along the south line of said Lot to a line parallel to and 25 feet westerly (measured at right angles) from the east line of said Lot 43; thence northerly along said parallel line 125 feet to the beginning of a tangent cLzw, concave southwesterly and having a radius of 15 feet; thence northwesterly along said curve, 25.56 feet to a point in the north line of said Lot 43; thence easterly along said north line of Lot 43, and its easterly prolongation, a dis- tance of $0 feet; thence southwesterly along a tangent curve, concave southeasterly, having a radius of 15 feet, a distance of 25.57 feet, to a point in a line parallel to and 25 feet easterly (measured at right angles) from said easterly line of Lot 43; thence southerly along said last mentioned parallel line 125 feet to a point in the south line of said Lot 42; thence westerly along said southerly line, 25 feet to the point of beginning. - 1 - 2- ^Cp " n For further particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandonment of said right to accept said offer of dedication, ref- erence is hereby made to a map, entitled "MAP SHOWING EASEMENT IN LOTS 42 AND 43, TRACT 12391, PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLU- TION OF INTENTION NO. 1716 ", on file and open to public inspec- tion in the office of the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo, California, in the City Hall of said City, located at 350 Main Street therein. SECTION 2. That the hour of 7:00 P. M., on Monday, May 13, 1957, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in said City be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed va- cation and abandonment of the right to accept said offer of dedi- cation for public street purposes may appear before said City Coun- cil and be heard and offer testimony and submit evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 3. That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of E1 Segundo, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "NOTICE OF VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF RIGHT TO ACCEPT OFFER OF DEDICATION FOR STREET PURPOSES (OVER PORTION OF LOTS 42 AND 430 TRACT 12391) AND OF PUBLIC HEARING THEREON" to be posted as re- quired by the said "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali- fornia; and the City Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the pass- age and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause the same to be published once in the El Segundo Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose by the said City Council.
