CC RESOLUTION 171256 RESOLUTION NO. 1712. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO THE DETACHMENT FOR PURPOSES OF ANNEXATION BY THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the "Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939" (Article 5, Chapter 1, Part 2, Division 2, Title 4 of the Government Code of the State of California) the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California consents to the detachment for pur- poses of annexation to the City of Los Angeles of that certain territory, known as Aviation Boulevard Strip Territory No. 1, which is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 8, Township 3 South, Range 14 West, as shown on map of the Subdivi- sion of part of the Sausal Redondo Rancho filed in Case No. 11629 of the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the County of Los Angeles; thence easterly along the North line of said Section 8, 70.5 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of the City of El Segundo as said City was incorporated by an election held December 21, 1916, action by the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County January 9, 1917, and notice filed with the Secretary of State of California January 18, 1917; thence along the eastern boundary of the said City of El Segundo South 0° 101 East 690.16 feet, more or less, to the Westerly prolongation of the southerly line of Mirathar Street, 60 feet wide, (now known as 116th Street) of the City of Los Angeles as said street is shown on Map of Tract No. 2663 on Page 24 of Boot 27 of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, as recorded on August 4, 1914; thence along said prolongation South 890 591 55" West, 70.5 feet, more or less, to a point in the West line of said Section 8; thence Northerly along the West line of said Section 8, 690.16 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall cause the original of the same to be entered in the book of resolutions of the said City of E1 Segundo; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption - 1 - thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of the said city, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall forward three certified copies to the City Council of the City of Los Angeles.
