RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE
PUBLIC NECESSITY AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEM-
NATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES FOR THE WIDENING
AND IMPROVEMENT OF EL SEGUNDO BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, The City of E1 Segundo has negotiated for
the acquisition of the easements for street purposes for the
widening and improvement of E1 Segundo Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, many of the necessary easements have been
obtained from the owners of the properties involved, but such
easements have not been obtained from the owners of the pro-
perties hereinafter described and it is necessary that said
easements be obtained without delay so that the work on said
improvement may proceed, and
WHEREAS, an action in condemnation appears necessary
for the acquisition of such easements;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EL SEGUNDO.. CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and necessity
require the widening and improvement of certain portions of
E1 Segundo Boulevard in the City of El Segundo, California;
and that said public improvement is planned and located in
a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest
public good and the least private injury.
SECTION 2. That the public interest and necessity
require the acquisition for street purposes of easements in,
upon and across that certain real property in the City of
E1 Segundo, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as follows, to -wit:

Parcel 1: The Southerly 10 feet of Lot 200
Tract 3012, as per map recorded
in Book 29, page 39 of Maps.
Parcel 2: The Southerly 10 feet of Lot 40,
Tract 3012, as per map recorded
in Book 29, Page 39 of Maps.
Parcel 3: The Southerly 10 feet of Lots 9
and 10, Tract 2028, as per map
recorded in Book 35, Page 37 of
Maps.
Parcel 8: The Southerly 10 feet of Lots 16,
17 and 18, Tract 2028, as per map
recorded in Book 35, Page 37 of
Maps.
Parcel 9: The Southerly 10 feet of Lot 19,
Tract 2028, as per map recorded
in Book 35, Page 37 of Maps.
Parcel 13: The Southerly 20 feet of Lots 352
to 356, inclusive, and of Lots 406
to 408, inclusive; the Southerly
10 feet of Lot 351, EXCEPT the
Westerly 25 feet thereof; the
Southerly 10 feet of Lot 303, EXCEPT
the Easterly 25 feet thereof; and
the Southerly 10 feet of Lots 301
and 302, all of said lots being in
Block 123, E1 Segundo Sheet No. 8,
as per map recorded in Book 22,
Pages 106 and 107 of Maps.
Parcel 14: The Southerly 10 feet of Lots 138
through 143; and 191 through 196,
inclusive, all in Block 123 of E1
Segundo Sheet No. 8, as per map re-
corded in Book 22, Pages 106 and
107 of Maps.
SECTION 3. That the City of E1 Segundo is hereby

SECTION 4. That Auten F. Bush, City Attorney, and
Robt. E. Rosskopf, Special Counsel, are hereby authorized to
prepare and prosecute in the name of the City of E1 Segundo
such proceeding or proceedings in the proper courts having
jurisdiction thereof, as are necessary for such acquisition;
and in connection therewith to incur on behalf of said City
any and all reasonable expenses and charges, including the
procuring of title reports and appraisals as may be convenient
or required in said matters; and to prepare and file such
pleadings, documents, briefs and other instruments and to make
such arguments and generally take such action as may be necessary
in the opinion of said attorneys to acquire for said City the
easements to said real properties; and to take such action
as may be necessary during said proceedings to acquire on
behalf of the City an Order for Immediate Possession of said
easements. Said attorneys shall be reimbursed their necessary
expenses and any moneys advanced on behalf of the City and
shall be paid for their services the reasonable value thereof,
such charges to be audited and approved by the City Council.
SECTION 5. Upon adoption of this resolution the
City Clerk is instructed to certify a copy thereof and forward
the same to Robt. E. Hosskopf, Esq., 8721 Sunset Boulevard,
Los Angeles 46, California.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the
City Council of the said City is five; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 1711, was passed and adopted by the said City
Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of said City, and attested
by the City Clerk of said City, all at a regular meeting of the said
Council held on the 11th day of March, 1957, and that the same was so
passed and adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Baker, Frederick, Gordon, Meschuk and
Mayor Benfield;
Noes: Councilmen None;
Absent: Councilmen None.
