CC RESOLUTION 1710_79 RESOLUTION NO. 1710. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1621 (THE SALARY RESOLUTION) OF SAID COUN- CIL BY AT,41ENDING SUBDIVISION 1129" OF PARAGRAPH "(C)" OF SECTIOQ 3 Or PART I; AND BY AMENDING SECTION 5 OF PART II OF SAID RESOLUTION NO. 16219 AS AMENDED. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That subdivision 1129" of paragraph "(C) CITY OPERATION SERIES" of Section 3 of Part I of Resolution No. 1621 (the salary resolution) of said Council, passed and adopted on the 11th day of June, 1956, shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows, to '•vjit: "29. Recreation Supervisor 15" SECTICIN 2. That Section 5 of Part II of said Resclu- tion No. 1621 shall be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows, to wit: "SECTION 5. VACATIONS: (a) Exceptint members of the Police and Fire Departments, who shall receive annual vacations as provided by law, each officer and employee regularly employed in the service of said City shall, sub- ject to the limitations hereinafter set forth, be entitled to and shall receive a vacation of ten (10) working days with full salary for each year of service to said City. It is provided, however, that in the case of officers and employees who have served said City for fifteen (15) years or more, the annual vacation or leave of absence with pay for each year of service shall be increased so as to pro- vide: (1) In the case of Police Department a total of fifteen (15) workin days; - 1 - 9�� 11(2) In the case of the Fire Department a total of nine (9) twenty -four hour working periods; and "(3) In the case of all other officers and employees of the City a total of fifteen (15) working days. t1(b) 'Year of Service' within the meaning of this sec- tion shall mean the period of one year from any given date during which the officer or employee shall have been regu- larly employed. All vacations shall be taken at such times as are agreeable to the head of the department and approved by the City Manager. Earned vacations shall not be accumu- lated for a longer period than for two years' service." SECTION 3. That this resolution shall take effect and be in full force and virtue on and after the 15th day of March, 1957. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
