A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING CANCEL-
LATION OF TAXES AND ASSESSMENT ON CERTAIN PROP-
ERTY ACQUIRED BY SAID CITY FOR PUBLIC STREET
PURPOSES, NAMELY THE DEDICATION OF CALIFORNIA
STREET, WASHINGTOd STREET AND HOLLY AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City of El Segundo, California, did here-
tofore acquire the following described unimproved property within
said City for public street uses and purposes, namely the dedi-
cation of California Street, Washington Street and Holly Avenue
within said City, as hereinafter set forth by the following
deeds, to wit:
1. A street deed from JUELLE HEATON, a single woman, owner,
to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the fol-
lowing described parcel:
The westerly 25.00 feet of Lot 154, Block 123; of El
Segundo Sheet No. 5, as recorded on Pages 106 and 107
of Book 22 of Maps in the office of the County Recorder
of Los Angeles County, California,
which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Council,
on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of July 24, 1956,
and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los An-
geles County, California, in Book 51534 at Page 96 of Official
Records, on file in said office, on July 25, 1956; and
2. (a) A street deed from CAUSBY L. WATSON and JOE ETH-
RIDGE, owners, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation,
to the following described parcel:
The westerly 25.00 feet of Lot 150, Block 123; El SeTundo
Sheet " ?o. $, as recorded in Book 22 o.f Maps, Pages 106
and 107, in the office of the County Recorder o'' Los An-
geles County, California;
(b) A street deed from J. D. 'ITHITE and C. A. ?MITE,
owners as tenants, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal
corporation, to the following described parcels:

The west 25.00 feet of Lots 286 and 287, Block 123;
of E1 Segundo Sheet No. 8, as recorded on Pages 106
and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the Office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California; and
(c) A Street deed from NATHAN LEVY and FLORENCE LEVY,
his wife, owners as joint tenants of an undivided one -half in-
terest, and FLORENCE CLAMAN, owner of an undivided one -half in-
terest, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to
the following; described parcel:
The north 25.00 feet of the west 70 feet of Lot 375,
Block 123; of El Segundo, Sheet No. 8, as recorded on
Pages 106 and 107 of Book 22 of Maps in the Office of
the County Recorder of Los An,;eles County, California,
which deeds were duly and regularly accepted by the City Council,
on behalf of said City, at its regular meeting of November 13,
1956, and thereafter recorded as one document in the office of
the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, in Book 52931
at Page 326 of Official Records, on file in said office, on the
23rd day of November, 1956;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SE-
GUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, FIND
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
FIRST: That said City does hereby certify that the said
above described respective real properties have, since their said
acquisition by said City, been reserved and used for public
street purposes hereinabove set forth, and that said respective
parcels of property are now being; held and used, and will con-
tinue to be held and used, for said public street purposes;
SECOND: That the said above described respective prop-
erties were, at the time of acquisition thereof, and still are
within the corporate limits of said City of E1 Segundo;
THIRD: That the said above described real properties
are essential to the said City for said public street purposes;
FOURTH: That the City Council of said City of E1 Segun-
do does hereby petition and request the Honorable Board of Super-
visors of Los Angeles County to order the cancellation of all

taxes and all assessment liens legally cancellable by the proper
County officials pursuant to Section 4986) of the Revenue and
Taxation Code of the State of California, on the said above de-
scribed parcels of real property, the whole of which, as above
stated, are respectively devoted to public street uses and pur-
poses hereinabove set forth in the preamble to this resolution;
FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of El Segundo,
California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to im-
mediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be for-
warded to said Honorable Board of Supervisors of said Los Angeles
County as the petition and request of the City of El Segundo and
of the City Council of said City for the cancellation of all of
said taxes and all of said assessment liens so legally cancella-
ble; and
SIXTH: That said City Clerk be and she is hereby fur-
ther authorized and instructed to supply any further necessary
information and documents which may be required in order to
promptly and effectively procure the cancellation of the taxes
and assessment liens above referred to.
