RESOLUTION !'O. 1699.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING CON-
TRACT FOR CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN
CYPRESS STREET ITT SAID CITY AS DESCRIBED
IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION "v,T0. 1686.
dIIEREAS, the City Council of the City of El Se;z.undo,
California, did on the 28th day of January, 1957, publicly open,
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for certain
street improvement work in Cypress Street in said city, as de-
scribed in Resolution of Intention No. 16M6, which Resolution
of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for a description
of said work and improvement and for all particulars relative
to the proceedings under said Resolution of Intention;
NOWT, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of E1
Segundo, California, hereby rejects all of said proposals or
bids, except that herein mentioned, and hereby awards the con-
tract for doing said work and making said improvement to the
lowest responsible bidder, to wit: Oswald Bros. Co.
at the prices named in the bid of said bidder on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said city.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to pub-
lish a notice of said award in the "E1 Segundo Herald ", a weekly
newspaper published and circulated in said city, said notice to
be published twice by two separate consecutive insertions in
said newspaper.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
Book of Resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of the
adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City

Council of said city in the minutes of the meeting; at which tl.e
same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of January,
1957.

regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 28th day of
January, 1957, and that the same was so passed and adopted by
the following vote:

Benfield•
NOES: Councilmen None
ABSENT: Councilman Frederick.
