CC RESOLUTION 1682RESOLUTION NO. 1682. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING CAN- CELLATION OF TAXES AND ASSESSMENTS ON CER- TAIN PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY SAID CITY FOR STORM DRAIN PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of E1 Segundo, California, did heretofore acquire the following described unimproved property within said City for storm drain purposes, as hereinafter set forth by the following deed, to wit: A Grant Deed from JACK W. MORGAN and AVA H. MORGAN,'hus- band and wife, to the CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, a municipal corporation, to the following described parcel: A Portion of Lot 60, Block 123 of E1 Segundo Sheet #8, as recorded in Book 22 Pages 106 and 107 of Maps, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of said Lot; thence North 54* 091 12" West 160.33 feet along the southerly line of said lot; thence north 0° 061 34" west 1$.03 feet; thence north 89° 521 50" east 139.25 feet to the east line of said lot; thence south along the east line of said Lot to the point of beginning, which deed was duly and regularly accepted by the City Council, on behalf of said City, at its adjourned regular meeting of November 22, 1955, and thereafter recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, in Book 49896 at Page 19 of Official Records, on file in said office, on the 28th day of December, 1955• NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, FIND AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: - 1 - FIRST: That said Council does hereby certify that the said above described real property has, since its said acquisition by said City, been reserved and used for storm drain purposes, hereinabove set forth, and that said parcel of property is now being held and used, and will continue to be held and used, for said storm drain purposes; SECOND: That the said above described property was, at the time of acquisition thereof, and still is within the corporate limits of said City of E1 Segundo; THIRD: That the said above described real pro- perty is essential to the said City for said storm drain pur- poses; FOURTH: That the City Council of said City of E1 Segundo does hereby petition and request the Honorable Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County to order the cancella- tion of all taxes and all assessment liens legally cancellable by the proper County officials pursuant to Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California, on the said above described parcel of real property, the whole of which, as above stated, is respectively devoted to storm drain purposes, hereinabove set forth in the preamble to this reso- lution; FIFTH: That the City Clerk of the City of E1 Se- gundo, California, be and she is hereby authorized and directed to immediately cause a certified copy of this resolution to be forwarded to said Honorable Board of Supervisors of said Los Angeles County as the petition and request of the City of El Segundo and of the City Council of said City for the cancella- tion of all of said taxes and all of said assessment liens so legally cancellable; and SIXTH: That said City Clerk be and she is hereby further authorized and instructed to supply any further neces- - 2 - sary information and documents which may be required in order to promptly and effectively procure the cancellation of the taxes and assessment liens above referred to.
