RESOLUTION NO. 1676.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EL SEGUNDO* CALIFORNIA, IN THE MATTER OF
IMPROVEMENT OF ILLINOIS STREET BETWEEN EL
SEGUNDO BOULEVARD AND FRANKLIN AVENUE, AS
PER PLANS AND PROFILES NO. 560326, CONSIST-
ING OF 2 SHEETS, ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF
THE CITY ENGINEER OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, has heretofore received a waiver petition from prop-
erty owners for the improvement of a portion of Illinois Street
and intersections of said street, together with plats or maps
showing the exterior boundaries of the proposed assessment dis-
trict for the improvement of said street; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reported to this City
Council and he has checked and examined the petition with the
report of owners furnished by the Title Insurance & Trust Com-
pany and finds that said petition represents 100% of the quali-
fied owners in area of the property subject to assessment for
the improvement of said street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the
said petition and report of the Engineer with reference to the
proposed improvement referred to in said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, FIND AND
ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the improvement referred to in said
petition is to be done and carried through under the provisions
of the "Improvement Act of 1911," Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That this City Council does hereby find
and determine that the qualified signatures to said petition, as
shown by the report of such owners furnished by the Title Insur-
ance & Trust Company, represent more than sixty per cent (60%)

of the total assessable area of the proposed district, as
shown and delineated upon the plat or map attached to said
petition.
SECTION 3. That this City Council does hereby fur-
ther find and determine that said petition for said improve-
ment represents all the requirements prescribed by Section
2$04 of the „Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and
Majority Protest Act of 1931,„ being Division 4 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, and the City
Council intends to meet each and every condition and make each
and every finding necessary on its part in order to permit the
proceedings for said improvement to go forward to completion,
without further reference to or application of the provisions
of said Division 4 of said Streets and Highways Code.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in
the book of resolutions of said city, and shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceed-
ings of the City Council of said city in the minutes of the meet-
ing at which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of November,
1956.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members
of the City Council of the said city is five; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 1676 , was passed and
adopted by the said City Council, approved and signed by the
Mayor of said city, and attested by the City Clerk of said city,
all at a regular meeting of the said Council held on the 13th
day of November, 1956, and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Baker, Frederick. Gordon and
Mayor Benfield;
NOES: Councilmen None;
ABSENT: Councilman Meschuk.
