FOR CERTAIN STREET IAIPROVE1,1ENTS Iii ILLIiNOIS
STREET, PINE AVENUE AND OTHER. STREETS IN
SAID CITY AS DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF
INTENTIO:d N0. 1636.
VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo,
California, did on the 8th day of October, 1956, publicly open,
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for certain
street improvement work in Illinois Street, Pine Avenue and
other streets in said City, as described in Resolution of Inten-
tion ^?o. 1636, except as chanied and modified by Resolution i;o.
1654, which Resolutions are hereby expressly referred to for a
description of said work and improvement and for all particulars
relative to the proceeding *s under said Resolutions;
NOTv, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL
SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, DOES 'IEREBY RESOLVE, AS FOLLO S:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of El
Segundo, California, hereby rejects all of said proposals or
bids, except that herein mentioned, and hereby awards the con-
tract for doing said work and makin'{ said improvement to the
lowest responsible bidder, to wit: Oswald Bros. Co.
, at the prices named in the bid of said bidder on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to pub-
lish a notice of said award in the "El Se,n:undo Herald, ti a weekly
newspaper published and circulated in said City, said notice to
be published twice by two separate consecutive insertions iii
said newspaper.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk_ shall certify to the passable
and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the Book
of Resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the adop-
tion thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council.

is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of October,

the City Council of said city is five; that the foregoing resolu-
tion, being; Resolution No. 1668 , was duly passed and adopted
by the said City Council, approved and signed by the Mayor of
said city, and attested by the City Clerk of said city, all at a
regular meeting of the said City Council held on the 8th day of
October, 1956, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
