A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE VA- CATION (SUBJECT TO THE RESERVATION AND EX- CEPTION OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS AND RIGHTS OF WAY) OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF COAST BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY, AS CONTEMPLATED BY RESOLU- TION OF INTENTION NO. 1624 OF SAID CITY COUN- CIL ADOPTED ON THE 25TH DAY OF JUNE, 1956• The City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve, declare, find, de- termine and order as follows: SECTION 1. Said City Council, after public hearing duly and regularly ca from all the evidence Boulevard within said No. 1624 of said City the 25th day of June, pective public street Lled, noticed and held, finds and determines submitted,that that certain portion of Coast City described in Resolution of Intention Council, adopted by said City Council on 19560 is unnecessary for present or pros - purposes. SECTION 2. That the public interest and convenience require, and it is hereby ordered, subject to the reservations and exceptions hereinafter set forth, that the following portion of Coast Boulevard, to wit: Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Parcel 2, as per easement described in-Book 43391, Page 354 of Of- ficial Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence South 25° 301 10" East 461.72 feet more or less to a point; thence along a curve to the right, tangent to the last named course with a radius of 59056.76 feet for an are distance of 198.58 feet to a point; thence South 23° 151 10" East 100 feet to a point in the Easterly line of existing Coast Boulevard as set forth in document recorded in Book 6833, Page 49 of Of- ficial Records of said Los Angeles County, California; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said exist- ing Coast Boulevard to the point of beginning, - 1 - be, and the same is, hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, all as contemplated by Resolution of In- tention No. 1624 of the City Council of the City of E1 Segundo, California, adopted by said City Council on the 25th day of June, 1956• Reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Inten- tion No. 1624 and to the map or plan entitled "MAP SHOWING POR- TION OF COAST BOULEVARD PROPOSED TO BE VACATED UNDER RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1624 ", referred to therein, both of which are on file and open to public inspection in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall of said City, in said City, and both of which, by this reference, are incorporated herein and made a part hereof for further particulars. SECTION 3. The City Council does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of the easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Sec- tion 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali- fornia, and these proceedings are taken, subject to such reser- vations and exceptions. The easements and rights of way hereby reserved and excepted from the vacation are the following, to wit: The permanent easement and right at any time or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street, or alley, or part, or portion thereof proposed to be vacated hereby and pursuant to any existing fran- chises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, and lines for the transportation or distribution - 2 - of electric energy, petroleum and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including access and the right to keep the property free from inflammable materi- als, and wood growth, and otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the public street proposed to be vacated hereby. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original resolutions of said City; shall make a min- ute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records and pro- ceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of said City, to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, State of California.
